So cool. I'm actually moving into my cargo van August 15 with my five dogs and two cats! Not traveling yet, still working and can take them all to work with me at the grooming salon where I groom. Alexandra is a Saint. What a great person with a huge heart to be taking care of these dogs. The dogs probably don't know how lucky they are to be with her or maybe they do but they are very lucky! Thanks for featuring Alexandra, what a great story.
Thanks Robin for supporting and advocating for a Rescue Nomad who does great work to educate and help the public learn about how to assist and promote for the Animal advocacy community!
What a wonderful person! People traditionally cut off pit bulls ears for dog fighting. So, it was either for that reason or they just wanted the dog to look mean. Either way, it was a terrible thing to do.
Agreed. Theyre so cute with their full ears so if not for fighting its done for aesthetics because i guess having a tough looking mutilated dog makes you look tougher?
Just found a collie/husky in San Antonio covered in paint and glitter wire around her neck. Last year a Blue Lacy from the horrible Pleasanton, Tx shelter. Along with Ol' Sarge from Jackson Hole shelter. A lot for being a gate guard.
I love what she is doing. All our communities have lost and found pet pages on Facebook so if you find a pup check the local lost pages. We have a very successful reunited rate.
I love kindred spirits who are foster fails just like me. I have a little maltese I fostered after being taken from a puppy mill. He was never touched or socialized. When I felt that he was good to be adopted, he was brought back twice for bad behaviour and biting. He never bit me. Since he was returned twice I adopted him and named him return. He is such a big baby and likes to be carried around all day if I would do it. So when my job taking care of my mom is over, I will be hitting the road in an RV with my 4 dogs and a parrot. The parrot is also a huge messy foster fail.
