What an experience during Ramadan in the city of Mumbai, thank you for this video. It reminded of my three Ramadans in the city, most of the time in Bandra West where I lived.
You guys should make it a point to visit Malaysia during Ramadan. In KL, around KL, there are dozens of Ramadan baazar with endless choices of very affordable street food. Of course, those open markets are all around the caputals for all states in Malaysia, and also in few islands like Langkawi.
If you guys are still in Mumbai, you must try the spicy biryani from Lucky Restaurant, one of my favorites in the city. One of the restaurants is located on linking road in Bandra West.
Nothing is devided in India. Muslims, hindus are sharing same places . It's muslim festival so you saw it as Muslim market even if there are hindu shops. If this was a Hindu festival like holi,diwali then the whole market would have been filled with colors and lamps. Btw happy Eid (from a hindu)
Glad u experienced Mohd. Ali road. Yes its a muslim dominated suburb in south Bombay. And best avoided during the Ramadan period because people come from all over to try out the non veggie street food that its famous for. The crowd starts after the iftar hour and continues long after mid night.

This is festival season guys so it's obviously the marker is going to be crowded. And after reading the comments I think for judging any country over just one vedio Or any social media things is not sufficient. And basically for us we know about our Country that why it's special to live with such a huge population , living all the religions together and having most beautiful and friendly peoples. Yes I know there are some faults too but it's Impossible to believe that any country don't have crimes. You all are not white washed these things happen everywhere. I've been living in India for 10 years. it can be overwhelming but people are very friendly and especially if you're a white tourist it is very very safe. Most people are very eager to make sure you don't have a bad experience, because they don't want you to think ill of them.
