Another tip: Assign your docked air force (Orca, Vertigo, etc.) to a number key. That way you can keep track of them and tell them to either re-dock or re-join the fight as you please. Assigning your non-dockable airforce (Venom, Hammerhead, etc.) to another number key is also a good idea since they often fight on a separate battlefield than your ground forces.

All Hotkeys which mostly near to the left hand. This is why I hate Generals Hotkeys, that you can change it. Having the Ctrl Alt and Shift, then use the letter start from Q to Y, A to G, Z to M and Space. Then use number 1 to 5 for teams. No much using Function keys Too bad I got small hands and short fingers to maximize the efficiency.
I highly recommend it if you like strategy games! You can get it on steam for like $30, or you could get it on Origin/EA Play in a bundle with all of the other Command and Conquer games.
Personally I prefer to use both mouse and hotkeys, because using mouse only is just a hindrance to you gameplay and macro/micro the units in your screen
Yeah, it’s a real learning curve. I’ve moved from having my hand on WASD to ERTY/H so I can easily go between the sections and get to F1 and others. It just takes a lot of practice.

I keep pressing "M" by mistake when I try to spawn rifle infantries because of terran marine.

You can switch how your mouse behaves to original C&C settings in settings.

Is it possible to cycle through your buildings of same or different type? For example, through power plants for faster upgrading them.
Not that I know of.
