I really like the BiSpaera glasses. They look like the perfect combo of flak lenses with shrunken down gascan frames. I started using gascans and crankshafts for daily activities but still use my old flak jackets for driving because of the better peripheral vision but I might pick up the bispaera to pair with the gascans.
I've been an Oakley fan since the mid-90s - always liked their m-frame and Radar, half-jackets and flak jackets. All their sport glasses. Even the recent Kato direction. These frames though are definitely a massive leap backwards and are a 'WTF is Oakley doing' frame. It's like they took inspiration from WileX or brandless frames you'd see at Target. The old Oakley is definitely dead at this point.
Practically speaking both the sphaera and bi sphaera are better designed than the flak 2.0 and m frames
Which shade lens would be the best for hiking mountaineering? The "hiking" recommendation is NOT polarized... I love the Sutra Lite, but NO polarized lens... The Sphere does... which lens would you recommend? Thanks!
Most of the time when you are hiking your in and out of tree cover so polarized is not optimal. Most people would recommend a trail or road lense something that brightens things up but still protects your eyes from UV. It really depends what type of hiking you’re doing.
@@AbandonedwithBizzy Exposed areas... even glacial.... sometime woods... :( I use Maui Jims currently... but the shields block wind better... ;(
What about teh 24K lens?
@@TheTrailDancer If I were you I would go to an oakley store and try on some of the glasses you like. 24k is for people who are going to be in bright day light. it only lets in 11 percent of light. i’m in florida and 24k would be great for me!
@@AbandonedwithBizzy I did, but they have zero polarized lenses
@@TheTrailDancer well the good news with the sphaera or most oakley’s is you can change out the lenses get a polarized lens for the days your in an open field or direct sun light and get a lens like prism road jade or prism trail torch for when your mostly under the trees. This is what i do. I have prism sapphire for the sunny days and jade for when i’m in the woods. I hope this helps!
Since i love to change ear socks, meaning playing around with different color combos, both on Radarlock and Flak 2.0 ...... these are disappointing to me. Since you can't do that here.
temple is too short....hurts me head
