Loveisheretoheal Go off your phone/laptop. Even if you can’t sleep resting your mind and having no stimuli will be at least somewhat energising and refreshing. Going on a electric device will only make you feel worse. (Not saying it will mean you can sleep obv just help you feel more refreshed)

@@kilgore. it is though. Lack of sleep can cause early dementia, if you're consistently not sleeping. It's also a really shitty way to live your life and you need to get help if you cannot sleep.

these past couple of days have been absolute 𝐡𝐞𝐥𝐥. i’ve been in hospital due to mental health and from not being safe. i got discharged today and i can’t think of anything better than a grackle vid to help distract me ♥️ thank you so much grace - you’re one of my favourite youtubers xx

I know right! Here in the Netherlands in small villages (just to happen where I live..) all stores close at 20:00 as well.. and if I want snacks after 20:00 I have to go to the nearest city which is 25 min drive -.- or a gasstation.. I wish we had 24/7 stores :p

Love looking back at younger Grace. “I will be hyper” says hyper Grace. I used to miss a whole night at her age as I had so much I wanted to do. Not all at home. Now I am at other end of spectrum,threw an all-nighter because I could not get to sleep 🤨Of course at her age I was married and we had built our own house.In later years I would stay at work and work through night to catch up on paperwork then work through the next business day also

Our sleep habits are like polar opposites - you at 4am is me anytime before noon, whereas you at your normal 8am is me around midnight. I thrive at night, all my creative juices are flowing and I do my best studying, musical practise, crafting, cooking, etc then. I don’t understand “daytime” people, but I guess you don’t understand night owls either! PS. Shopping *IS* the best late at night! I always get so stressed when I have to go in the daytime and there’s loads of people in my way, taking up all the aisles! 😆

I am a night owl, so this was funny to me. Especially on the weekends I can be up until the sun (not even partying or studying, just existing). The best part is just driving/walking around at 2am-ish and there is NO ONE around... It's so quiet, it's magical!
I think it's interesting how you get hyped when you eat sugar. Everytime I eat sugar I get really sleepy. like my body just can't handle it 😅

I think this is really interesting. I had so many all nighters, working on school deadlines. This year, one day, I started working on the assignment the day before, just after dinner (around 20:00). I worked until 07:00, went to school, did my presentation, went home. On my way home I took the wrong subway and I felt really weird?! Like I was dreaming. Wasn’t healthy. I think the longest I’ve been awake without sleeping is around 40 hours. Right now I’m trying to go to bed before midnight everyday. Because last month I went to bed whenever I felt tired. And it was for a whole month, everyday around 05:00 in the morning. Slept till 11:00. But even though that’s my natural time it doesn’t feel good. So now I’m trying a good healthy schedule again. Bed before midnight! Well this was my life story about my bedtime. Bye!

imo an all nighter is when you don't sleep at all. the real challenge is staying awake for 2 days in a row.

Felicity it doesn’t necessarily end in hospitalisation, my worst case of insomnia was having just 10 hours of sleep in a week but there was some medical intervention of prescription sleeping pills
