This video refers to strat all instruments ranging from 7.5 fretboard radius up to 9,5 but even more and will also work on the 6 saddles - Hudba
Damn thank you! I had to tune my les Paul every 5 mins but after using this method I haven't tuned my guitar for days and I am surprised that it's in perfect tune. Even the G string is behaving itself!
;)
Thanks a lot! Glad being of help to you all!
You are too good! My guitar used to buzz a little, my temolo would knock it out of tune, and when I would bend it would get out of tune. But now I have a perfectly set-up guitar and I can use my tremolo as hard as I want! Thanks a lot! You have changed my life!
As a beginning/intermediate guitarist I was spending way to much time tuning my guitar, With your instruction now I know all the things I was missing and it make so much sense!!! Thank you!!!
that's exactly how I learned it as a little boy. all these years i never had any tuning problems with my guitars 👏👏👏👏
Big Cinema ❤
What I love about your videos is how extrmely thoroughly you explain things Thank you so much for your videos i watch them all, all of the time!!!
Thanks
Yan Hui
you're videos are very good and informative. You teach us a lot of things that other people don't. I learned a lot of from watching this that I will try out on my Les Paul when changing strings next time.
Thanks
Thank you for all the great tips! I have been playing for years and this has shown me some things about stringing I never knew!
Very good Pierre!
I´ve been searching the internet for this kind of information for months! Thank you man, very good!! May I suggest you teaching how to clean the dirty from the fretboard?
Thanks for your videos Mr. Frudula! Even with the Italian accent, you are still much easier to understand and follow than most videos I've seen on here. True Professionalism.
stretching the strings is the most important thing yes... your videos are awsome and very helpful! thank you =)
Nice job, I been playing for years and still learned something, thank you.
Great detail. Well done; thanks.
@blueheartguitarist I thinkn htere are already plenty of videos showing this. Search something like "intonation of octaves"
thanx... excellent..I always asked myself why or what I may be doing as Im doing it (ie changing strings and tuning)) and if it was helpful or harmful.... its great to have a very clear reasonable explaination as to why some things are wrong...Been playing 24 years and this is the best info Ive gotten in years...
Ill be watching every video ...
@gjm1971 Thank you. In a few days it should.
Thank you for all the information that you share. Ive learned quite alot from your videos. Could you please make a video that shows a complete setup for Gibson LesPaul/SG style guitars? Thanks so much!!!
Wow it really works!! Thnx a lot
@dieandgoaway . good question. Everything else being the same (diameter of strings/pitch,etc) the length of the portion of strings beyond the saddles does not have any influence on the tone. The first angle (from saddel to baseplate) though influences the "feel" you have on the fretboard but this mainly happens on the nut side and on bendings.
@augie150 NOt sure what you mean caould you explain better? Send a detailed PM
You're welcome ;)
Graphite and derivate are good when you have a tremolo on a guitar and you mean to use it. Sound is also good even if nothing IMO beats bone and a good well made bone nut made by a pro, can compare to graphite in allowing tremolo performace.
Thanks to you Yan ;)
@TechnicalFreak The one I used for this video I do not remember what it was it was from a friend of mine. Sorry. I'll get informed.
So if i do all those things but my guitar is out of tune every minute anyway, what can it be?
to keep the value of the guitar for resale you should find a vintage gibson ABR1 on ebay, or if you want a new one , check out tone pros.
Great video. Following these procedures really does stabilize tuning much better than just "tuning up" alone. Looking forward to your intonation video and hoping it will address that finicky B string. I flat the B ever so slightly for better tuning (to my ears) up/down the fretboard but it always "creeps" up and requires constant tweaking to keep it slightly flatted. Any advice to remedy this situation?
@pupwinder It should fix itself to a given tuning while strecthed... no?
Do You cover bridge intonation? Also do you instruct on setting up wraparound type bridges such as on Les Paul Juniors and PRS Guitars?
Hi Galeazzo,
I just installed polyweb coated strings. Do you think stretching them can damage the coating?
Thanks for all your videos.
@dieandgoaway A fixed bridge. Twisting the strings damage them (especially on a bass) and also the portion of strings which is not playing deosn't have any importance on tensionexcept for the "sensation" we perceive near the torsion on bendings and picking
@FruduaTv thx
@fruduadirectdeal You would think so, since the rest of the strings seem to. I find the flatting of the B strings somewhat "necessary" for the A and F#7 forms, especially as you move up the neck. The offset is slight, but the impact seems dramatic. I was thinking there might be a way to account for it via intonation. Anyway, I look forward to your intonation video. Any other thoughts would be much appreciated. Either way,Thanks for the reply.
it is also important to show the string winding
Thank you so much! I was looking for this information about fixed bridges for so long, this was very helpful. Nice to tell me sit sit back and relax too :)
ZenithCam Very good:)
I have a les paul and my G string will always go out of tune, why? even when I already stretch the strings. Do I have to change the g string and make more wraps on the stringpost or it is some problem with the tuner?
Mr. Frudua, what is your thoughts on graphite nuts? Do you suggest them as well as graphite saddles?
bridge setup question: Should the stopbar-tailpiece bridge be screwed down as low as possible so it sits on the guitar top? Or should I raise is a little so the string clears the hole cleanly?
Hi my name is hfhg sfujr....Seriously Thanks for all your videos!!
Hello, I have a Gibson Epoch it has really no way to adjust the intonation on this bridge HELP....
would if the first fret sounds like a sitar and then do i have to stretch it just asking.
and then tune it if it is tuned
my guitar is not tuned at all.
@fruduadirectdeal Yes If I understand what you mean.
Sir, what is the fixed bridge brand and model that you can suggest for my 1956 Gibson Les Paul? Really appreciate your professional recommendation. [Malaysia]
If we change the string gauge, is it always necessary to adjust the truss rod?
I have had this problem with my Les Paul and I seen a video of a new Les Paul and they changed the nut by changing its material to graphite. this is suppose to help. It would be nice though to get a response to your question.I wanted to see his answer myself. go to Gibson web sight .they have 24 hour help
not yest but it's pretty simple consider watching my video on setting the heght on a strat and simplify it for a TOM.
Hey man! I'm having trouble on my Copy Les Paul. Gibson said that an angled headstock improves sustain. I've done something on the past. I just raised the action and I loved the sustain. But because of too much string angle. It doesn't stay in tune. It gets back after when I do the neck bending technique or it gets complicated if I tune it on the headstock. Any ideas how to fix this?
what is better a string thru bridge or fixed bridge?
@augie150 It's a Korg DT-7 but anyone will work.
@z3r0sh1ft Just follow my video on How to tune a guitar with a fixed bridge.
Frudua presidente del consiglio! :D
Capisco che Le utenze inglesi e americane siano nettamente superiori..
ma quando qualche video in italiano???
complimenti comunque..
I hate pulling that I just tune then do bends on all frets works better
@gjm1971 look for fruduastoredotcom soon
He says at literally the very start that he's Italian.
YOUR ACCENT SOUNDS ESTONIAN?
Where are the strings breaking? Did you put a smaller gauge strings? Did you change the brand? Go back to the original situation. Before you play stretch the strings as I explain. They will never get sharp again.
