Bought a pair of Air Jordans ~20 years ago for $100 and change. As a teen then, I worked hard and saved for months to get it. It was super comfortable and did not need breaking in, but it went flat in less than 8 months. Thought it was a damn gimmick then and never bought another pair since.
👌👍 you're very clever sir!!
I might do this in the future since I have off white vapormax and regular ones to prevent me buying new ones
outstanding! I kicked up a free pair... and just realized now why: flat on one. Will try your method. Thank you for your 'service'!
Let me know how it works out
Such a good idea, thanks 🙏🏾 I will be using this!!
Thanks, For the video I will definitely use this technique on the Air Max that I own and for future issues!
Best of luck!
My Air Max TN's that burst a while back can get some love again. 😎
Big up for your ingenuity 💯🔥
Without question. So glad I was able to help you out.... Also glad you didn't throw them out, but I for one knows how hard it is to throw away $220 of Nikes when they are still in brand new condition.
did you manage to fix the air max tn? how does it feel?
Cause of your video and you know how you save my parrot vapour max. Thanks a lot bro I appreciate it. I went and bought everything you got right there and it worked out perfect thank you.
Glad it worked out👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾. I hate to see people lose money on perfectly good air / Vapormax sneakers. Nike has to do better.
Great video - and excellent narration!
Thank you and hopefully this helps.
Sir you have a mesmerising way with words 😊
Hopefully, that's a good thing. 👍🏾
Nice! Getting Nike Tempo Next % for running so this is good to know
Cool. But keep in mind that Nike will honor the shoes up to two years from the date inside the shoe. I only recommend my method of fixing for Nike Airs that they won't take back.
I have a pair of air max that the bubble 🫧 got a hole. Thanks for the tip. I’ve thought about using green slime tire fix stuff. Figured it look cool on my white shoes. But colored silicone would work also.
Try it.. Different is in these days. All day you'll hear, "I never seen those before"
Thanks Brotha For this Video It Really Helped Me
Sure glad I was able to help 👍🏾
I have one vapprmax and I fixed by my self. Selicon made in usa. Gun's Selicon and drill size 4 or 5mm. I made 3 holes in shoe's heel then I started to fill it , and there is one thing is so important to do, iits block the hools one by one ( I did by ear's pad. ) bcz during filling Selicon got out.i think it's wil be perfect bcz in end I press the heel and seems as the other one which is OK.
Wow i wish i had come across this video before i tossed a nice pair of nikes. My bubble popped when i was walking through an alley and a nail punctured the dang bubble. Thankfully it didnt go qll the way through and hit my foot! This was a fantastic idea and i will be sharing with everyone i know.
Threw 1 that i bought for 180, bought retails new, for 80, now im gonna save
I saw this just now and you can do this if you prefer, get clear silicone or if you need colour just DIY the silicone take it apart and add dye in it to suit your coulor...that's if u like to go extreme but clear silicone works just fine with all coulors..😊 oh and not to be used in running or exercise.. the fix is OK for just using them only for walking,
👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Absolute lifesaver thanks man. Though out of curiosity is it still squishy once its filled with sillicone? or is there a noticeable feel in the diffrence in the bubbles
Once it cures, there is a noticeable difference, but the silicone will still be flexible to cushion your walk
you are actually awesome, lol love your voice as well - also do you need super glue or anything to seal it afterwards? I have a popped right shoe at the heel, does it feel different at all from the air bubble? I am thinking of purposely popping my left shoe to balance out the walk, but that feels so wrong hahaha
Thank you for the wonderful compliment and glad i was able to help. No super glue is needed. The silicone will dry at the hole within some hours. I also considered popping the other shoe, but I didn't feel too much of a difference, so I waited until the other shoe popped on its own.
The other side of my black vapors just went flat a day ago. I fixed it and am waiting for the silicone to cure. Maybe I should have done them both at the same time .
Great idea!!
Hopefully this helps you out.
You're a life saver.
A sneaker and money saver is more like it 😂... So glad I was able to help you 👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
I try your method thx
Nice video! Will try this out:)
Hopefully it works well for you. It worked very well for the left sneaker. Now I have to do the right side. I caught a flat last Saturday.
Excellent content, greetings from mexico
Thank you and hope the video helped you salvage your nikes.
Thanks Bro I just finished repairing 3 pairs of Vapormax
Yezzzzzz Sir. 💪🏾
What state are you riding in ?
How are they now
❤ I’m amazed , super video , I have a question, can you please tell me how you cover the hall when the silicon comes out. I see the halls are big
As long as you use enough silicone, the silicone itself will dry and seal the holes. Just give the silicone enough time to set and dry.
Thank you .
Glad I was able to help. Just give the silicone ample time to cure.
Thank you
You're welcome
I got the VaporMaxPlus and one pair is like a lightish orange🧡on the whole shoe just one solid color and I LOVE THEM... especially because IVE SEEN NOBODY ELSE WITH THE COLOR I HAVE...but the downfall is cleaning them😭 the orange on the fabric part starts fading and almost looking like it has a greenish tint (im sure yall know what im talking about)...does anyone know if itd be possible to easily dye the shoe, does it work good & what products recommended‼️⁉️⁉️vapormax plus is my alltime favorite shoe..the price tag can be hefty BUTTT IF ITS A DARKER COLOR THEN U CAN WASH THEM TO LOOK BRAND NEW AGAIN 100% which makes the pricetag worth it🤗...I got my kids dad the black pair with a wine color on the plastic parts that run up the sides of the shoe & Everytime they get washed they look fresh out the box..i need a dark pair for myself at some point...
MY FRIDGE STOLE MY FUNDS & RAN...WORD ON THE STREETS IS ITS STILL RUNNING TO THIS VERY DAY...‼️🤷♀️
Won’t they be heavy at the bubble where there’s a hole?
Does this work on any air max
I tried this many years ago and has many problems, the silicone will not set and them lightweight trainers become horribly heavy and if only 1 is done feels very different on each foot...best thing to do is use superglue and activator spray to build up and seal the hole back up again 👍
I will give it a shot on my next pair, but both pair I fixed, work well with the cured silicone.
But the hole will be sealed and nothing inside to keep it solid though.
Like you i thought this was a great idea. But after doing this i realized and felt the very considerable amount of weight that the silicone added. It totally eliminates the weightless factor the shoe was designed for. And while i was wearing them after the repair at a park, while i was walking next thing i knew there was silicone shooting out of the heel section. This was a month after the repair. But basically the little dab of silicone where the hole is dries but none of what's inside the bubble gets any air so it doesn't actually dry or harden up at all. So while walking the dried plug can come out and then its back to square one. I own 70 pairs of air max releases from 2010 to 2020. And I'm so tired of air bubbles popping on them. As much as i loved Air Max over the years i have to admit they are all crap compared to the pillow like cushioning and comfort of the Adidas ultra boost technology. So I'm gonna sell all my air max and go with adidas permanently. That's the best solution for the flat Air Max bubbles.
I agree. Although I only had a relapse on one fixed pair, it repaired itself shortly after. Nevertheless, there is no reason consumers should have to suffer through this, especially after spending so much money. Nike should simply put the same hard rubber that is on the heel across the entire bottom of the shoe.
Yes sir. They made the shoe look very appealing in the eye of new fashion at the time but put no effort into the durability on the vapor max. But even regular air max have popped on me so many times i stopped keeping track. Its a shame too because i was a fan of Air max for so many years and have so many. I still buy Nike Basketball and Air Griffey Max 1s and other 90s retro releases though that have never had issues with popping. so they still get a good bit of my money.
@@metalshredder4life817 I agree. It's a shame nike didn't put much effort into making the bubble durable. I, like you, also noticed that my Nike Airs from the 80's & 90's never sprung a leak. I still have an old pair of Nike Air sneakers from the 90's that look like shit, but the bubble is still in tact. I use them as my housework shoes. To dig the knife in deeper, i think i only paid about $60 bucks for Airs back then. All said, Nike needs to do better for the amount of money they charge.
God I’m so thankful that my vapormax is serving hand 🤚for 20 bugs , so I’m not so much Ina deep shit , greetings friends , we are sharing the same pain
So true how ultraboost took over
Fantastic
Hope this works for you, but keep in mind, if your sneakers are less than two years old, take them back to Nike before trying this method.
Great video bro! My air max 720’s will have a new life. How long did it take to cure the silicone?
Glad I was able to save your 720's. As for the curing time, the outer portion should cure around the hole in about 24 hrs. I don't think the rest will ever cure as it never makes contact with air. We literally just transfer the uncured silicone from one sealed container to another sealed container. Personally, I don't care if it never cures. It feels great walking in my nikes again.
the kim kardashian nikes. hey whatever floats your shoes.
Gotta hurt to step out to pump gas... Step on a nail or glass and know u rockn them joints...
...
I feel ya my g... Ghastly...
but it might not be enough to put the silicone only where there is the hole so you can save weight?
You can add the extra weight to the negative column, but the extra weight is not enough to throw away a $200 pr of shoes
I have a hole at the back of the heal on my vapourmax 2021 grey and cler sole and if i this how do i seal the hole ? As the hole is at the back not the under side.
I would suggest either:
1. Using the same two hole method used in the video after placing tape over the hole in the back to keep the silicone from escaping, or
2. Try placing one hole in the furthest portion of that bubble to let air escape, then inject silicone through the pre-existing hole in the back until the bubble is completely filled.
Neither is full proof, but it's worth a try.
Now that’s a safe place for silicone to be injected.🤣. Great idea tho. Will give this a try✅✅
Hopefully this works for you. Please let me know how it works out .
How long does it take till the silecone drys out i got my shoes 3 days outside and theire still fluid
Some silicone takes longer than others. Just play the waiting game, but don't throw them away.
does the silicone stay liquid or does it harden over time?
The silicone hardens to a gel, not to a hard substance.. It will add a little bit of weight to the sneaker, but You will still get plenty of use out of your $220 pay a vapor Max.
is there is any difference in which silicone I'll use? Like that can be normal silicone from a DIY shop?
I use regular bathroom silicone from the local hardware store. I suppose any silicone that cures will work.
@@BukesWorld I did that already but I needed to make a few holes there with knife cause silicone was going out of pillow, will that works as good as on your video?
@@shiro5603 yes it will work if you let it set. It's good to see the silicone started coming out. That happens and let's you know you adequately filled it up. As log as you made holes with the knife and not long slashes, you should be alright.
Hey how do i add silicone on the black vapormax plus triple black idk where to add the silicone because of the things blocking it.
There is a line that separates the front and rear sections of the bubbles. All the rear are connected and all the front are connected. You can make a hole anywhere in either section to fill the entire section. If you have a leak in the rear section, I would use the existing hole to fill the bubble. No need to worry about the hard piece as it's placed outside the bubble.
@@BukesWorld okay i will try it out
i did this and the tear in the back of mine just squish the silicone back out. am i doing it wrong? i let it sit for like 1 day and a half
If you have a tear in the back of the bubble, you will have to let the silicone set for a longer time to cure. Refill the bubble and forget about the sneakers for a week or two. That should be enough time for the silicone to cureenough to provide a barrier.
Sounded good, but If yhe Silicone doesn't Cure... inside it's just gunna make a big mess and if You're Disabled like ame,The Weight of The Shoe Kills alot of the Comfort that The Air Max have, I usually get 3 to 4 years outta My Air Max... So I'm gunna continue to be happy with their 3 to 4 years of Wear... Good Luck
The silicone will cure. Some take longer to cure than others, but they will cure in due time.
Wait couldn’t you just heat up a nail and melt the rubber Around the hole So you wouldn’t have to feel anything up with anything?
That could work, but I think adding heat to the bubble would widen the hole
Does the silicone dissolve and turn back into air or does it stay like that with the cream inside….. also is it still as comfortable
The silicone does not dissolve or turn into air. It stays in the silicone form, but it hardens over time to a plyable gel. The shoe becomes slightly heavier, but barely noticeable while still allowing the comfort of the shoe.
@@BukesWorld so is it another way to redo the bubble without filling
@@mallymal1041 not to my knowledge. If I find another way, rest assured, I will make a video illustrating it.
@@BukesWorld can’t you just put silicone on the hole to seal it back up then put air back in them from the inside of the shoe where tge hole is
@@mallymal1041 Two questions: how will you seal the hole without damaging the seal when you walk ? How do you seal the hole in the index of the shoe after poking a hole in it ? I have not seen this method performed, but would love to know there is an easier way to salvage these sneakers.
How long does it take to fully dry?
It never really cures fully because you are transferring silicone from one tube directly into another tube
How did you add more silicone when it dried
If the silicone has already dried, you will have to find an area of the bubble that doesn't have silicone and fill it there.
Can i put the silicone on the holes on the sides?
Sure. Just make sure to completely fill the air bubble so the silicone seals the hole.
Will this work with nike pro backpacks or does anyone know what will fix a hole in them?
Sorry. I'm not familiar with the Nike pro backpacks.
What about when the heal gets a hole and cracks? That's how all mine got wrecked
Don't quote me on the fix, but if you fill up the bubble with enough silicone and let it sit for ample curing time, it my work.
Wish id of seen this sooner now my £180 vm's are full of gloss an paint as i used the as summer work shoes 😏
God I’m terrified of a relapse. Just did this about 10 minutes ago but now after reading some comments I’m afraid the air dried “plug” will come out and I have silicone spilling everywhere 😢 any tips on preventing one?
If you fill the air bubble completely and allow the silicone proper curing time, it will not leak. I fixed the green bottom vapormax in the video months ago. I happen to have them on right now and it's not a coincidence. These are my go to pair, so I wear them often. Haven't had a problem since fixing them. Just give the silicone proper time to cure and you will be alright.
@@BukesWorld how long is long enough do you imagine? Like 24 hours or 2 weeks timeframe?
@@caporoski usually about 24 - 48 hrs for the area around the hole. You should be able to wear them at that time. It may take about two weeks to fully cure. Just give it time. Waiting a little is way better than throwing good sneakers away.
@@BukesWorld alright, thanks for the help. Definitely better than throwing them away 😅
Thanks for sharing I will be trying on these 2 Flat ass vapor max shoes I have the bottoms are clear so thank God the silicone will work
How to fix fix air max 90s
Tbf i would do this to like 3 year old shoe cuz the whole point is to have air... so its better to do this than to throw them in trash
Exactly. This is for shoes of two years or older. Under two years old, Nike will honor them.
How did you close the holes
The silicone seals the hole. Just place the sneaker in its natural resting position (the way they are worn on the feet) and let it cure for a day or two.
This does not work because the silicone wont set inside the bubble because no air for it to set I have tried it last about 20 steps
The silicone will actually set. You just have to give it time. I only expected the hole surface to set leaving the rest gooey, but over time, all of the silicone gelled. The shoe became just slightly heavier, but still delivered and comfortable walk.
I did it , but the silicon in the bubble stays wet and moisture doesn’t go out 😢, help me
Question:
How long did you let the silicone sit to cure ? The silicone usually sets around the hole in about 24 hours making the shoe wearable. It may take about a week or two for the rest of the silicone to completely cure. As long as the silicone sets around the hole area, you can wear the shoe as you normally do.
Did you completely the bubble with silicone ? If not, try using the two hole method so you can completely fill the bubble by pushing all the air out. Then let sit for a day in the normal resting position so that he silicone rests on the hole.
@@BukesWorld ok 👍 I thought 💭 that the shoe will be ready In a day or two
Skip to 1:30 to get straight to the point.
You didn't show us how you closed the hole back up
Just so you know Nike offers a 2 year warranty on their air soles as long as you have proof of purchase
Doesn't that add extra weight to the shoe?
Yes but it’s not that noticeable
It does add extra weight, but not enough weight to throw $200 down the drain.
Never seen a shoe get a BBL
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Boss ano tawag dun sa baba ng air bubble yung parang bilog

Will this work on nike 270?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I haven’t tried it but I believe it will
@@BukesWorld can u pls try it cuz my bubble is very flat . It happened when I was playing soccer⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️⚽️😭😭😭😭😭
@@gamingwithgillz4578 you would Have to send me the shoes to work on. I do not own a pair of 270s.
nm I did it myself and thankfully it worked thanks so much for the idea but how do u find where the air was coming from in the first place
@@gamingwithgillz4578 glad you was able to use my method to fix your 270s. To find the original hole you could squeeze the bubble and listen carefully, or put soapy water on the bubble then squeeze while looking for bubbles to arise. Lastly, you can completely fill the bubble with silicone until the air and silicone escapes from the original hole.
You know if you take off the in souls you will see a whole where you can pump air into it
Like many others shared the same info, no on has yet to illustrate a fix using the hole underneath the soul. I looked at it many times to make sure I wasn't missing anything, but I have yet to see a possible fix using the spot. Please share the fix using the hole. I would love to use a better method to fix my vapormax.
@@BukesWorld meee to
Hey man, the silicone is leaking out whenever I try to wear the shoes after 2 hours of trying this. What do I do?
3 hours is not enough time for the silicone to cure. First make sure you completely fill the bubble so the silicone completely covers the hole when the sneaker is in the normal resting position. Then let the silicone cure for a day or two
@@BukesWorldayt, thanks for your quick response man💪🏼
is this Steven A Smith
This will make your shoes HEAVY and UNCOMFORTABLE. dont use it for runing or sports.-
I agree this will make your shoe a little heavier, but it's really not that uncomfortable. I wouldn't use the shoe for the intended reason to run, but it still makes sense to have a useful shoe as opposed to throwing 200 plus dollars down the drain.
Why would you run in Vapormaxes anyways?
@@BukesWorld Not a litle heavy, nad 0 soft. It will heavy as fuck, not balanced and they are going to be hard, no absortion. The funcion of the shoe is off, is a shame, planned obsolescence
From cops
I doubt he's doing any running
How do i close the hole?
Once you've completely filled the bubble, place the shoe in the proper wearing position and let it sit for a day or two. The silicone will start to cure and seal the hole on its own. Then you can wear them. It may take a week or so for all the silicone to cure, but that won't stop you from wearing them.
There’s a hole to repump them under the insole
Really ? Where exactly, front or back?
That’s means you don’t have to make another hole?
@@mallymal1041 I see the hole you are referring to, but I don't think that goes into the air bubble.
Has anybody here tried putting an expanding foam in their airmax bubble that has a verh small hole? I'm thinking of doing it but jus wanna make sure I ain't the only one who thought of it 😂
I haven't seen it yet.
Bro there is a hole to pump it’s up in the sole
Everyone says there is a hole to pump it up, but no one illustrates using the hole to repair the flat. The hole I see doesn't go into the air cavity. Please share the fix showing the repair using the hole. I would love an easier way of fixing the next flat.
Ius one tube of silicone enough for the heel if the shoe,I have fly knits two different parts of bubbles,I need the full the back half is one tube. Enough???
I found that one tube is enough to fill all the bubbles on one shoe with silicone left to start another. If you just fill the bubble that popped, you may only need a small tube of silicone.
I tried it, let shoes sit overnight and the silicone leaked right out as it hadn't dried lol. Just go buy a new pair haha
All silicones have different curring times. Let them sit for some days. You can still buy new shoes, but keep those as your beat around once the silicone cures. Trust me, you won't be mad.
We used to exact same one that you used.
@Gizzeee Gizzeee that's cool. My green bottom sneakers cured faster than the black bottom sneakers. They took a little longer to cure. In fact,I just did the other side of the black pair two days ago. I tried it out the next day, and it was not ready. I just put it in the corner to give it some time. It should be ready the next time I decide to where them.
It's been about two weeks. How is the sneaker now ?
@@BukesWorld A little more leaked out at work lol. i think by it being inside the area it didnt have air to fully cure? but, I just bought a new pair on friday from Hibbet sports near my job.
Well i got myself a flat well 2 flats
If You plan on throwing the sneakers away, you might as well try to salvage them 1st.
@@BukesWorld I definitely am this is why I even watched ur video 2 times to make sure I learned ur Technique. Thank u for sharing ur experience..
Nike Siliconmax 🤣
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Thanks wore mine 3 times and deflated i was well pissed off
Glad I was able to help, but if the sneakers are less than two years old, take them back to Nike. They will usually replace or credit you for another pair. My solution is for those kicks over two years old or for sneakers that Nike refuses to honor.
Fuck man! Bought a pair of air max 95's and they popped after like 6 km of walking.. WALKING
If they are less than 2 years old, take them back to Nike. They will replace them. If they are older than 2 years, use this technique to fix them.
Throw them things out
Nope, LoL. I still get daily use out of them... Best part about it is , I no longer get flats
They give u money back if your bubble pops under 2 years
Correct. This fix is for those shoes over two years old
Are you for real? How does that work?

I rather just save myself all that trouble by not buying such an expensive cheaply made shoe.
Now that is a good way to look at it.👍🏾
Let the manufacturer take care of the quality of the shoes for which we pay a lot of money. Two pairs are spoiled, for what paid?
@qualitatplus2903 the company will take care of them if the shoe is less than 2 years old.
