Thanks so much Chuck! And thanks for supporting my channel and commenting, it means the world to me to have such an accomplished astrophotographer and CZcamsr following my channel. I still can’t believe we got an APOD! Woot!
Brilliant collaboration Joe, good to see you working with Glenn & Russell. The final image is awesome, got to be one one the best crescent images out there!! Well worth the effort👍
Thanks Isaac! It was really fun to make with two other amazing astrophotographers and CZcamsrs. The edit seemed to take forever lol, but definitely worth it!
Thanks rudi! I'm really enjoying doing collaborations with other astrophotographer CZcamsrs, it's very cool to see how others do their data capture and processing as well as get some amazing integration time on images.
This was very cool!!! & the final image is outstanding!!! I can’t wait till I get some clear nights on my end. Too many cloudy skies & I’m right in the city light pollution 😁 but I make it work lol thanks for sharing 👍🏽
Working on this object right now! I got 12 hours down out of 20 that I want and I stumbled here while waiting for my data to finish stacking, awesome work!!!😊
Nice job! Looked like a fun collab. That image looks very clean.. lots of data and good processing did the trick. I've in the middle of collecting data on the crescent.. hoping it comes out half as good as this one :)
Congratulations guys, awesome stuff! You've set the bar really high there, lots of image capture time, lots of processing time, and a wonderful final product, amazing.
Great video Joe -well done with the Crescent Nebula! I've got the same rig as you and getting the OIII to come out in Post, is always a challenge with this nebula. Hope you have more clear skies!
Thanks Salomon, I think Astrodon and Chroma are on par with each other. At least I can't see much of a difference if there is any. I think Antlia is a close second. I know there weren't any halos around any of the stars to speak of so that always a good sign!
@@DavesAstrophotography We had no arguments at all. I just started my normal process and asked for any input or changes along the way and if there were any, we’d try them and see how it went and if we didn’t like it we’d go back and redo that step.
Great collaboration project!! wonderful final image!! How did you guys deal with the Different Focal lengths and different FOVs to get everything to match up??
Thanks Jason! I used Astro Pixel Processor to register all the masters, then used PixInsight's Image Integration to combine the 3 Ha and 3 Oiii registered masters and cropped the image to match my original focal length as mine was the largest of the three.
What a blast that was and our image is just the best. Always a pleasure Joe.
Thanks Glenn, it was a lot of fun wasn't it, and I'm very pleased with the final result!
Congrats on your APOD!!
What a great image and collaboration! 🎉🎉🎉

Wow ... that was a lot of work, but it paid off. I hope I can follow those big footprints.
Thanks Pat, I'm really looking forward to doing a collaboration with you, it'll be another great one!
Congrats on today’s APOD for this great image!
Thanks so much Astrocat!
Awesome image, love the collaboration. Each one had different filters- chroma, astrodon, atila. Can you comment on which one is the best.
Thanks Salomon, I think Astrodon and Chroma are on par with each other. At least I can't see much of a difference if there is any. I think Antlia is a close second. I know there weren't any halos around any of the stars to speak of so that always a good sign!
Amazing result from the 3 of you!
Thanks so much Dave!
