Personally, I think KC statements are ambiguous at times. He could very well have been speaking in terms of his character in The Bodyguard and not the man himself. I do believe there was a strong attraction on his part, but I don't think it was love. Also, I think one can have love for your friends. And a strong and abiding friendship is what he/WH seemed to have.
Kevin Costner recently remark that he would consider making Bodyguard 2 if he could have his Leading Lady ( Whitney Houston) back that was his wish..... It's my hope that he will one day write about this beautiful Love story....

She had a lot of men who were chasing her, but Bobby was the only one who proposed to her and she may have thought (after Eddie broke her heart) he was the right one.
