Kelsi! If you go to Cambodia, and you’re open to it, get a magic tattoo. I am Cambodia and I went to get one by a temple. The monk who blessed my tattoo was GLOWING. Seeing his aura was more worth getting a tattoo, I never seen a person glow so bright

Glowing tattoos are sacred, and have lots of types of glowings.. glowing bright yellow unless the person is walking on light magic path(the power of ancestors), but they will have do many things to earn that and its not easy to earn those. Also, that glowing happened once in a while based on our ancestors times n dates (awakened). That one more type is the tattoos is darkness the colors also based on the awakened times of our ancestors, but its not deep like the glowing bright yellow one. Every letters of the khmer tattoos are living letters (letters which have life). Its hard to explain in english, im so sorry, but there are more interesting details. I wish i could put in the easy words to explain. These only minimum explanations. And, those tattoos are not easy to get as well, no matter how much you like the tattoos if its not fit your character, the monk, who tattoos all of these tattoos, can refuse to tattoos on you. For example, the basic tattoos that everyone easy to get is about peaceful mind, praying for being safe, protection and luck. But, certain advanced tattoos are based on how much you meditating, what do you need it for, how much you will sacrifice, how much you willing to follow the god path, no harm to life of others, and practice all of the praying. Advanced khmer tattoos are needed to follow the correct paths, and if you disobeyed the rules, you will be punished based on the level of disobeyed. For example, if you harm anyone’s life (doesnt mean you have to killed that person, but just making that person life a living hell), those tattoos will be lost all of the powers that you work hard for from 100 to 0 and those tattoos will be faded toward normal color and wont protect you from bad things anymore n you have to face many bad consequences in your life too.
And if you ask me, have I seen the glowing bright yellow? Yes i have, my grandpa who passed away have them. And i saw it before my mom grabbed me back inside when I was young. And I learnt lots about it from my grandpa.

Hi Kelsi! For what you ask at 25:33, it's probably iconoclasty. It's a fairly common phenomenon in the old days, when a temple was taken over by people of another religion. This also happened in Egypt or Mesopotamia. Destroying the image of people was symbolic, it was as if they were destroying the person himself...

Ah yes! In ancient Egypt people believed that statues of gods can be inhabited by them, they could see trough eyes of the statues and receive offerings. Very commonly after enemy conquered region, noses of the statues have been destroyed, making the spirit who inhabits them unable to breathe, therefore spirit could not breath and was unable to inhabit statue... destroying their face was kinda like a curse, they did it so that person represented by statue will be forgotten...
I have so many memories of this place visiting with my mum (thai budhist) i believe the temple was burned at one point, the story of the ramakein on the walls. I can’t remember exact but there was an attack at some point… thank you Kelsi for being such a respectful and wonderful person!! Love and light to everyone ❤❤
I hope you see this since you really wanna know about the heads! Expedition Unknown recently did an episode from Cambodia at those exact ruins. All of the statues were looted or destroyed if they couldn't be carried out. I don't remember the details but you should check out the episode. It's from this latest season!

TIP FOR FEELING BAD ENERGY! Reasearch crystals and why there useful, if you feel slightly attached to a crystal or gem stone don’t ignore it. My friend once gave me a tiger eye gemstone and I somehow felt really protected and fresh. Don’t ignore the signs! If you feel it’s running out of its energy, hold it underwater for a while and it refreshes. I hope this protects you and keeps you safe, make sure you are wearing the gem /crystal or holding it, it works better. Hope this helps you guys!

I am only 17 years old and watching the temple part of the video made me emotional, it seems that there was a battle and lots of warriors were killed among some of them survived. It could be that the reason the heads are gone is due to them passing away and being remembered for their sacrifices.
I love when you post vlogs like these!!! It gives you a mixture of cool traveling experience and also gives a short history lesson of how people died and who they are.

Hi Kelsi, great video! I know that during colonization of Buddhist cultures/lands the colonizing nations oftentimes removed the heads of Buddha because taking the whole statue was too heavy. I’m wondering if the missing faces you saw were similar looting/disrespect.
During the Khmer Rouge they took and sold the heads on the black market. If you visit the national museum you can see the heads that have been given back.

Yaaas places like this are so cool dude! 🤘 the statue thing it’s basically disrespect if someone had beef with said person mostly they thought taking the heads off statues messed with them being able to ascend/have a peaceful afterlife, hope that helps! In Japan there’s a forest trail/cave where there’s a legend if you count 7 statues missing their head there then you ☠️, I doubt that’s related though o:
Yeah! In India also you can see such damaged heads or faces in VERY ancient temples. Most of them were intended to destroy people's belief, and a lot were ruined by Islamic invaders just to disrespect their beliefs

I heard you say " monarch" and I was like"....omg is she obsessed with them like me too?" LOL in the summer time I go out and find monarch butterfly eggs and caterpillars and raise them until they turn into butterflies and release them I know the past couple years they were endangered so doing what I was doing was actually helping them because alot of bugs and pesticides are killing them right now I have over 100 caterpillars, chrysalis, and eggs I've released about 15 so far this summer with isn't alot but it's something I enjoy doing male monarchs have little black dots on their wings and females don't they are extremely beautiful creatures one place I want to go before I die is Mexico where every monarch flies to this one area if I remember right they fly their before winter and there are hundreds of thousands of them there is actually a video on CZcams of it and it's just one thing I absolutely want to see.
