This e-bike is better than ANY Electric Scooter! | Fiido Q1

- Moja takes on the custom built Fiido Q1 with a 5000 watt motor on the rear paired with a 60 volt battery and puts it to the test. The bike allows for endless customisation. Fiido offer a prebuilt Q1 with a 250 watt motor and 36 volt battery, but with the option to build the bike yourself, it's a no brainer to upgrade the components to something a bit more capable.

E-bike Or E-Scooter? 4:53
Epic fail 6:11
Conclusion 6:31 - Auta a dopravní prostředky
I like that it is marketed as an e scooter, not trying to masquerade as a bicycle. Very cool, reminds me of the mini bikes we used to ride as kids, with old flathead engines from lawn mowers, this is so much more useful and functional.
I have owned 2 different fiidos models in London for like the past 2-3 years.
So happy with the d4s that I brought another just recently.
This looks pretty cool too.
How do they hold up against rain? That's my only worry with getting a fiido as it says not to ride in heavy rain.
How much is III ?
@@Lee-jb7km , . Dumb and dumber Mini scooter czcams.com/video/57p2uOK4g6Q/video.html . 😂 !!!!. But it’s cool 😎 😁
Nice! I made a bike like this years ago, welded up a frame and added a petrol engine , go kart clutch etc... I have a spare 1500w hub and 2 48v 10Ah batteries and have been thinking of using the hub as a power source using the disc mount to mount a sprocket then through a gear system. future project :)
I had my first fall off my e-scooter today (wearing my helmet of course!)! I was only stationary and reversing sideways on the pavement (like repositioning it to cross over) thankfully, but it was a good one.. And I thought I was going to get away with never having a fall, lol the hubris..
Looks like a really cool platform to mod and customize. The only thing I can see from this brief glimpse of the bike is maybe move the foot pegs forward on the frame for a more comfortable riding position. That and secondly an adjustable seat.
🍺 😎 👍
Fido Harley spec fam YES
You got mysub just because how much you made me laugh when you was acting cool sitting on the bike and then loosing your balance ending up on the floor so glad you didn't cut that out 😅😊😂
Thanks for the video, the best I saw on the Fiido Q1 / Q1S!! I want one, I may buy it in a few months, but yes, I will mod it for sure, at least have a 2 or 3kW motor(s).
*Nice to see more of this bike on a UK-based channel on London roads!* Looks hella fun, small and low to the ground. More portable to boot.
So you didn't leave links for the parts you used? Great, good job dude.
*no pedals. Not an ebike, more like a mini moped*
doesn't the 'ped' in moped stand for pedal?
Right and it’s 500 pounds way too heavy
It looks like e scooter with seat👍
The e is for electric that’s why it’s a ebike
Don’t call the cops mate 😂
Shoutout from Singapore!
Fiidos are the way to go!
Cheers!
I would love this bike, I really like the speed. I wish the other fiido models had the same speed as this. This would be awesome to ride 2 miles just to go to work.
Now that looks fun and a sure fire way to empty your bank account doing tweaks and upgrades on!!!! Thanks for sharing :)
🤣🤣🤣After finishing my 7k build..I was thinking the same thing🤣🤣🤣
But it’s illegal in the uk unless on private land with permission?
Completely illegal and does not even have pedals. At least if you build a traditional looking powerful electric bike you can pretend you are pedalling and blend in with other cyclists. This is basically a moped that will get you pulled over and you'll end up with 6 points + fine.
I bet you are not the Arthur Brown in "the Crazy World Of Arthur Brown" who had a hit called FIRE!

Absolutely jaw dropping!
I’m building an expedition vehicle which will have two electric motorbikes on the back… I was planning on using Ubco 2x2s but maybe this would be useful instead… I like the Ubco because it’s nice and slow (don’t wanna kill myself), long 100km range and had lots of platforms and mounting points for a box of weekly shopping or to lash my skis to… what do you think about modifying this to make it similar?
5:16 sounds amazing!!!! I definitely would buy one of those customs when they're available
Great stuff! The UK needs more EUC content though!
i bought a spetime s5pro about 30 days ago and its so cool i love it for the same reasons its a brilliant base for mods.
do you guys diagnose escooters that have just stopped working??? im having trouble figuring out why its showing e3 error.
Nice work MOJA!
Apart from the olympic park / private land - I don't think there is anywhere where you can legally ride this bike... So setting it up as commuting solution is a little bit deceptive.
Although I love the idea of something like this eventually being useable. I've wanted an electric scooter for a while, but still waiting on the laws to change.
Unless you live on one side of the olympic park and work on the other side. Then it totally makes sense! 😉😜
It'll be classed as a motorbike not a bicycle so it'll be legal but not for cycle paths and so on.
@@KevBoughen and if it is classed as a motorbike, it’ll need to be taxed, insured and registered with a number plate etc. And L plates if you haven’t passed the bike test.
Basically this guy is trying to sell something in the UK which is not legal on public roads and he is basically spewing shit from his mouth.
Not much good for somebody 6'5 and 120 kg.
@@Docksidestudio1 looking at it it should be shouldn't it after all it's no real different to a monkey bike. Personally I wouldn't risk getting one until this grey area is cleared up, just cause it's electric doesn't make it somehow safer on the streets than petrol powered.
Sound like a great idea! I will definitely want a custom Q1 when they’re available
I agree with you, it is so much fun. I just received my q1s original. I cannot resit: I am going to add a second motor...
I currently have a very nice E-Bike but I really like the look and speed of this bike. keep us posted on the availability o this model. also how many miles are on a charge?
Sonny, u left out other crucial elements we all want to know.
: It's km range on a full charge
: How many hours to charge the battery
: Does the battery need to be drained
flat each time before re-charging
: What is it's maximum gradient when
climbing hills
: How does it perform driving on grass and
gravel
: Can a larger battery with more volts &
amps fit into the housing of the frame
Excellent points of interest.
I would think that passing the wrong cop on the road (if you don't have an operator's license and proper gear to make it street legal) you can kiss that thing (and the £1000 you spent on it) goodbye.
Dude…think of this as a platform to stick on it the battery , controllers , motors and brakes that YOU WANT… and make it go as far and fast as you would like
Is it road legal?
A heck of lot of money for something to mess around on if not.
Good ques Mr. Flintstone
It's not road legal. It's effectively a moped/motorbike
Needs a registration, insurance and a licence to ride on the road...
Is definitely not legal
Uk law say is have a pedal its no ride mor than 15m/h is legal to use
Loving it nothing out of the ordinary for me just a set of pedals and a bbshd bbs02 even tongsheng maybe a CYC of some type with an ASI Controller the traditional stuff keep it simple like myself great video thanks mate
I wish you could have shown if there was any damage after that minor tumble near the end
I'm struggling to see how that Motor is rated for 5kw, maybe it's 60volts but that motor wouldn't handle 80amps constant
I agree. I think he meant 500W nominal. More than 2000W through through that tiny motor and the risk of frying it would be considerable IMHO. I could certainly see this take 750W, maybe even 1000W reliably. 5000W would be enough to take you over 100 km/h. Yet this thing seem to top out at around 60 km/h.
I have the fiido d3s and pot holes are dangerous with little wheels even at moderate speeds of 16mph.
I built a proper mountain bike conversion within a couple of months and it is far safer.
A slightly better? than a stand-up escooter? Hardly.
A 26+" wheels are safer.💡☝️❗⚡⚡.Be carefull❗⚠️
I ride the VSETT8+ SOLID TIRES. Dangerous always have to watch for potholes & twigs...etc. Although it is fun & fast enough.
Only electric mountain bike is better with dual drive wheels.✅🇨🇦🇭🇺👽🆒😎
@@rexluminus9867 yeah it's the pot holes and twigs etc I have to watch out for with the little wheels.
On s smooth surface they are fine but in in Yorkshire so not much smooth about lol.
26 inch wheels with full suspension is another world in comparison and my latest bike has 27.5 inch 2.5 tyres, 160 travel suspension and is a beast off road.
@@FlyingFun. Great Nigel. That's a nice suspension travel. Full suspension MTB is also my favored one.
I'd like it with dual motors someday. The VSETT8+ with dual motors switched on is fast ~40Km! At that speed the wind resistance gets noticable.Quite a hill
climber.Smaller wheels go faster.Be safe & healthy
@@rexluminus9867 vset8 plus looks good and not ridiculous price either, for commuting a scooter makes more sense if you dont have somewhere to store a bike both ends.
The big problem with ebikes is security, cant really take it in shops etc and dare not leave it outside even with multiple locks for long.
Wind resistance is a killer for the range once you get over 15 to 20mph in my experience with the ebikes, if I sit at 30mph range is easily halved compared to an average of 10 to 15mph.
What's a Pot Hole ?
The future of urban commuting is very exciting. When I retire in twenty years I can only imagine what is going to be available on the market. Perhaps we will have batteries with 1,000+ km on one charge. I see myself driving around on a ebike or escooter for my daily errands when I'm an old guy.
I would love one of these fiido q1 bikes I've been watching these bikes for a long time keep in touch with me

Huge question; what's the hill climb ability like on the 250w model?
None

My dad, and me have a Q1. but i can't wait for Q2's actualy release! Btw that build may look simple but in my opinion, Sick!
I mean I wanted a suron or a super 73 for the longest time but they are so expensive and modding them to their full potential would be really expensive as well and it's just hard for me to justify that at where I'm at in life at the moment.
Guessing this will not be legal on the roads either? Shame if that's the case as it looks awesome and love the idea of building one to my spec.
Ya at least in USA and Canada, it's gotta have working peddles to be considered a legal ebike. I guess if the power was upgraded to keep up with traffic it would kinda be like an electric moped???
@@APPLEPIE978 Thanks man. 👍 It's the same here in the UK too unfortunately. And anything over 250w becomes an issue too. So it's all great bringing these machines to the market but where do the manufactures expect their customers to use them if we're all still governed by significantly out dated transport laws? Shame. Looked great. TBH though I still prefer me a Super73 or similar. Awesome. 😎👌
@@crazylikeafox7290 The manufacturers don't "expect" anything, other than to sell them and make money. If you're foolish enough to buy something that's not legal to use, then that's down to you, not the company who made it. The law as it stands has been fine for 100 years. You only want it changing because you bought something that is illegal to use, and you now want to use it. You'd need hugely expensive insurance cover to ride around on something like this. If you cleaned someone up on the pavement, and they were injured and spent time off work, they could sue you for thousands. Lost income, stress, the injury itself. It's a minefield.
@@Brian-om2hh Easy, easy, Brian. I only asked a question and like MANY keyboard warriors you've gone full throttle attack. Yes, I have a E-Scooter which I use sensibly and frequent and not ONCE have I been pulled by the police or been a danger/menace to the public. And the second Insurance becomes available I'll buy it, regardless of cost. Also, "I'm foolish enough to buy something that's illegal"....but it's fine for the govenment to charge VAT/profit on those illegal items? And the UK law on a number of things, not just transport, is both VERY outdated and biased (try having a fair divorce in the UK - that's a joy to behold!). This country on a number of things is slowly but very surely going down the sh*tter and it's us.....well, people like you, that are allowing it to happen.
Yeah it goes too fast and is even illegal under the moped classification so closest it comes to is a motorbike which this one doesn't go fast enough to go on the freeway for but it would only be allowed on car roads no bike lanes
It's all about 250w maximum motor size in the UK until that changes we're stuffed
Its 250Watt AND 15,5mph max speed, and the same for the whole of Europe
I was looking at the Fiido Q1s 3 weeks ago they way they do them up makes it look sweet. I would love to get one but its the law in the UK that puts a downer on Escooters and Ebikes.
Well, as long as they’re not allowed on roads or pavements most people will be happy…. And safer…

Love to use this in the uk but it’s not legal maybe you could mod the dyu+3 with upgraded motors as it’s still has pedals do you think that’s possible would be interested in getting you to build for purchase ?
Good info. For me ebike without full suspension is non starter. Especially for heavy one. Vibrations will shatter it into pieces in long term use. I like this one but would not ride it fast. Looks dangerous for fast rides. I like small dimensions too.
I have two e-bikes one with no suspension and one with full.
The no suspension bike is scary and uncomfortable at higher speeds.
That’s awesome & I’d get one… but as soon as the 🐷 see you riding it’ll probably get confiscated right??
Shame the rules here suck :(
I love it! Txs for sharing.
Glad you had your cover on mate. 😲
Amazing review. I’m so tempted to buy an e bike.
This is not classed as an e-bike in the UK with the current rules in place, you cannot legally ride this on a road yet.
No suspension, would be harsh at then speeds 🥴🥴🥴
Love the tires what are the specs I will like them on my custom build jestson bolt pro that I converted to 48v .
Decent fiido that. I love the modabilty of the bike and it just looks awesome
Make a bike with forks or fenders that have the batteries in them that sit lower than the axles, and you instantly boost stability beyond any other electric bike.

Cool beans! How much are they and do you guys ship out to the U.S.?
Can you guys please share the height of Moja? Because It is difficult to me to understand how I would fit on such a micro motorcycle - I have 1.75m. O really love the looking, being cheap the base model and then all the possible customization. I already own a few different batteries, motor controllers and displays from my ebikes and scooters, so I would be reusing them on this Fiido Q1S, which is my philosophy to do my mod, reuse components and repair.
What’s this guy talking about I bought a Fido qs1 last year 🙄
By the time you finish the modifications on them you’ll be into it for over £1000+
It'll be around the same price as a used motorcycle, and close a new pre-made ebike with less or near the amount of power compared to customizing it to your liking/needs.
How far do get in Distance as far as battery life?
The DYU D3 VIP with same spec (36v 10ah, 250W, 14" wheels) is cheaper, around £589.
True just like the bolt and bolt pro, but at the same time their frames can't compare to this one. You can easily fit 2 pretty decent batteries or 1 big battery with good amps. Not to mention there isn't suspension on any of these whatsoever and it's uncomfortable it what I call "riding a camel" this q1 seems to look like it has some suspension. Also upgrading those bikes are a bit limited compared to this one shown.
Can you please tell me what the folding stem quill size is? I’m trying to use that short folding stem on my Lectric XP in stead of that long folding stem.

The small size of it clearly indicates a lot of uncomfortable riders steering away from it including couriers because it’s no doubt too small to feel comfortable and safe as in noticeable to other road users while riding this wee no doubt really cool looking ebike but it’s simply too small to be accepted on roads without being pulled over and most likely fined by the police, ebikes which are of normal bike size are here to stay and be accepted on the roads either if road illegal or not as the police generally won’t back-an-eye if your riding at no faster than 20/25mph then it’s not a hazard nor a hazard if you’re easily noticeable to other road users as this is clearly a big consideration everyone who rides on the road thinks about due to the obviousness about not being seen then suddenly being hit because well like I said already if you’re on a bike which is too small then it’s more difficult to notice and makes the rider difficult to see especially in busy city’s which is where ebikes dominate
Punctuations are too valuable to use on CZcams comments I agree so thanks for splurging and giving us the one comma because I haven't seen one for a long time being so small and hard to see not being used often it's like people don't bother to even separate any thoughts and just let the comment keep going like every thought that comes up out of their heads without putting in any pauses or breaks to make it any easier to read when you're on the toilet bowl so long that the seat leaves those really deep red marks on your bum and you've forgotten to replace the toilet paper just leaving the old tube on the tube with with one square like that Seinfeld episode as if that's going to do anything but there you are and so you turn your sock inside out even though it was the one you got for your nineteenth birthday party from you grandma Sally whose dead now even bough she never smoked cigarettes got cancer from the third husband who was always smoking way too much like three packs a day of those Camels with no filters that look cool AF but you know are just a burning chemical binkie so might as well put a gun in your mouth am I right holy shit what the fuck did she put in my drink I'm like starting to passssss ouuuuutttttttt............................
