Hi DB! I'm following you since a while now. I really like your builds and your honesty, as I'm pretty not sure every player trying hardcore is REALLY showing up their deaths when they happen.
But as I really love your builds, are you not interested in a simple "Survival" mode? That way, you could build anything without fearing losing your entire world, and you could even focus on details while being not oppressed by random mobs able to OHKO you. I would really like to see an entire survival world modified by your skills (But don't worry, I of course still enjoy a lot your Hardcore series!)

I do like the idea of a regular survival world but I feel like hardcore adds that little element of uncertainty, like the series could end at any moment. I feel that makes it more entertaining and also more exciting for me to play. I feel I will do a regular survival series sometime in the future though :)

In one of my worlds, I want to have warning towers (the ones with fires that are lit to signal people of an attack) so those tower designs in the background will help alot.
