Just realised that Brainiac saying “fine addition to my collection” is a double reference because Dee Bradley Baker (voice of Brainiac in the game) provided the voice for all the clone troopers in the 2008 clone wars series and far, far more voices for Star Wars content.
That phrase wasnt a meme yet in 2014 when this game came out. Just a coincidence

In the 3DS version of this game. Not only is the Dr Fate helmet for Robin an actual suit but you can get the villains in the hero’s costumes skins by just buying them with the studs like all the other skins

I had never heard anyone describe 3 that way and honestly looking at the story, your right I didn't even realize it.
Amusing premise, since it's usually the Next Lego DC game that gets compared to SS:KTJL, given that you play as the villains (includin Harley, Deadshot, Boomerang and Shark) against an evil Justice League in the Crime Syndicate. TT and Lego really did do everything Rocksteady tried and better years earlier.

Speaking of Bloodborne sound effects on the last Bruce and Robert episode when everyone got brainwashed (minus Robert) the sort of lullaby that played during that scene sounded a lot like the chanting of the wintern lanterns in Bloodborne

You do play as Doctor Fate Robin. It's one of his suits, the Helmet Suit (one with the mind control icon like Joker's Flower Suit). I didn't realize it was a suit when I first played this game until I checked.
