This original version of Sweet Sixteen is in my opinion the greatest blues song ever recorded. It captures the zeitgeist of mid-20th Century American Southern history/music at the juncture where cultures collided and merged. This is THE definitive performance of Sweet Sixteen and its authenticity cannot be challenged.
