- You asked - I tried :)
Let's see how it sounds when I will be passing by the camera. I must admit that I love the way it sounds when it starts and just idles. The sound is not too crazy loud, but not silent either :)
Great sound! Much better, but also not so obnoxiously loud so you'd get angry villagers after you when driving through towns. Seems like a perfect compromise of both worlds.
It's very simple and easy to understand, thanks for the video 👍
You are welcome!
Thanks! Most helpful!
It sounds better with a lower tone.
I did the same thing, (same pipe as well) 90 decibels at the seat with the cat. 90 decibels in the same location with cat delete.
Both at idle.
Well, you surprised me with this db numbers- thanks!
I just ordered the termi race exhaust, got to wait till June 4th to get the evo remap from my ducati dealer, need to get a dna race filter at a later time
Sounds like a lot of fun...
Waaaaaay better!!!
Thanks!
Hi, I've just bough an arrow de cat pipe for mine. I was intending to use with the standard end can as you've done. My end can heat shield will not fit due to the de cat pipe being too long. Did you have to cut down the de cat pipe at all?
Hi, nope, it went straight in even if it looked like it wouldn’t. I don’t think you should cut it either. Wouldof been strange if they were made with the necessity to cut when it’s possible to make without.
Sound way much better!
Do you leave it like this or are you thinking of buying also the rest of te Akrapovic exhaust?
Thanks, I will leave like this, cause even this way I have a little more sound than I was aiming for. When you decelerate and gear down, you get a lot of popping sound and it's not quiet by any means... But I like the sound and definitely love the weight savings.
Hello Nemo, thx for your films!!
Is it still running fine, and is your mufler still intakt?
Grtz from Holland👍🏼
Thanks, Martin. Yes, all is good so far, just the color of the OEM muffler changed from silver to nicely burned brown (not that nicely to be honest). I guess the OEM muffler was not designed to withstand this extra heat after removing the catalytic converter.
Thx for your answer! Have good drive👍🏼👍🏼
Hi nemo
With this de cat did you find a need for an engine re map to alter fuel ratio or did you leave it with original engine map from factory without any issues in fuelling 👍
Hey, Martin. I did leave the way it is. You will be getting a lot of popping sounds from the muffler in some accelerating or decelerating situations, but that does not bother me. But to be completely safe, I think, that remapping should be done, even if I did not do that and clocked about 14K kilometers last season without any problems yet :)
Well nemo happy Xmas an new year if you celebrate it ??
I finally got hold of a Leo Vince de cat pipe as it comes in two pieces like the Akro one , and it’s well made with fantastic cuts and welds and it fits very well with the standard end can and you can also fit the original heat shield with the de cat pipe fitted .
Haven’t re mapped the ecu and enjoy the popping on downshifts and sounds way much more like a Ducati now and runs a few degrees cooler now and picks up better when flogging it through the gears .
Do you need to remap the ECU with a cat delete? Which cat delete did you use?
Can’t remember which was it- there’s a video in my channel with an installation and I mentioned the brand. Not doing any remap and will see how it will be, but works good for now.
Has the original muffler changed color to brown?
Yes, it sure did, looks like it's not so much of a heatproof.
@@nemoltu But is this for the decat?
@@giovanniscagnolari1740 I assume so, I haven't heard anyone complaining about the brown muffler with the Cat still intact.
Nice! Do you feel any difference in the power delivery, does it seem a bit more happy?
Thank you 🤜🏼🤛🏻 It definitely does. And it should, especially cause I’ve put a sport filter and took the original “choker” off 😀
Ciao hai dovuto rimappare la centralina?
@@oneday9654 Hey, sorry did not see your comment. I didn't do it, but I am not suggesting that even I am not planning to do it yet. :)
@@nemoltu ciao come mai si brucia il terminale?
@@user-xs4lp6bq2g Sorry man, I don't think the translator translates correctly, so not sure what are you asking about.
Any need to reflash or tune?
Did not do anything and not planing to. But that’s my decision so can’t say anything. Rides awesomely, maybe a little too much popping, but will keep this 👌
Buongiorno!! Hai dovuto mappare la centralina ?
Hello, I did not remap ECU, but for the best result, you should. I left it original, love the sound and 5000 kilometers later the bike is still good, nothing broke yet... .
@@nemoltu Grazie mille per la risposta
@@nemoltu top sound !
@@nemoltu hai perso coppia ai bassi regimi?
@@marcopezzi23 Sorry your question was not noticed. I don't think I did, but now it's very hard to tell cause I don't remember how was it with a cat converter anymore :)
Not v4 sound, but not bad
A big improvement from the stock, but I have to agree- not a V4...
