It's sad because the media perceives taylor to be this diva that doesn't care about anyone and just dates guys so she can write songs about them. But that isn't her. She I so kind I have never known someone who cares so much about there fans that they send them presents for Christmas or go to their bridal shower. She didn't let fame get to her and like that. She uses fame as an opportunity to give back to her fans for all they have done for her. People judge her without even knowing anything about her. I love her so much. She inspires me to give back to others.

I am not a part of Taylor Swift's generation, nor is her music my thing, but I admire her very much for her sincerity and the genuine love she has for her fans. She is truly a beautiful person. Completely beautiful. Her attitude is what makes her a complete and beautiful human being. I can only wish I was like her if only for one day. This young lady truly inspires me to try to be a better person and gives me hope for the future.

I totally agree. I am not a fan of her music (still stuck in the '60's and '70's musically), but I really think the things she does to reach out to fans is awesome. This is a great example. Oprah gave cars to entire audiences, but TS painted a picture for this couple and presented it to them personally. In the Christmas videos, it seems her fans appreciated the handwritten notes more than anything else she gave them. And she doesn't just sent an autographed picture, she sends long notes to let that person know she's read their posts, she's seen their videos and she sees them as people, not just fans.
It's that personal touch that really shows her true character. She knows she would not be anything without them and does give back. Of course she can't reach out and touch all of the millions of her fans, but I believe this is her way of thanking the fans a couple at a time so that all can be thanked. I would hope she continues to reward her fans in really sweet, touching personal ways. I applaud her.

I wouldn't call myself a fan of Taylor Swift (she is a GREAT singer, just not my thing), but after seeing they way she goes out of her way to try and do things for her fans, I have become a big fan of hers as a person/human being. This gives me just a bit more faith in humanity, especially during these times. She is an amazing person, and I hope many other artists could at least try to pay tribute to the fans that helped them get to where they are, even if only a fraction of what she (Taylor Swift) has done!

The fact that this is edited by her (i'm guessing) and that she didn't bring like a bunch of cameras and pr people is really awesome. She didn't go for the publicity. She went to make one of her fan's day (and possibly year) and because she hadn't been to a bridal shower before.
Then who do you think is holding the camera all the time, who is driving the car? Do you really think she did it all on her own? And if she is not craving for publicity then why upload a personal video on youtube for world to see? You must be either her fan or just accept everything on face value.

I have to say, the fact that Talor Swift took the time to surprise one of her fans at her wedding shower is just a testament to her humility and generous spirit. And she didn't just put in an appearance for press shots, she stayed and enjoyed the party. Amazing. I'm sure this couple will remember this for the rest of their lives.

It's upsetting that so many people "hate" Taylor Swift (sadly, including most of my fandom) just for 'dating around' and not for her actual personality, like this. Taylor is such a sweet person and she's so down to earth I'm glad I have her as an idol. In fact, she was the first idol I had and the first album I bought that was related to the music industry. (Haha, not including some Lilo&Stich soundtrack I had). I've been a fan since I don't even know when and I'll always support her.
Oh and can't forget to mention that her music is flawless.
Hate is for everyone different and its decide by them self so you cant change it or make a different. And it is up to other how to take it. I know everyone has an opinion and I'm just expressing mine too. Of course I can't tell people off for saying their opinion, freedom of speech and all. And as the famous quote goes, "Never apologize for stating your opinion. Apologize when you're rude about it." Which is what I believe firmly. I'm looking through all these hate comments on this video which brought up my attention. I don't see why it's necessary for people to comment "WHORE" when Taylor isn't doing anything wrong in the video. It's fine if they say something like "I don't like Taylor because she dates around but___" because that's being polite about it.
My original statement didn't come from thin air. On other social medias there's always hate, it's inevitable. And I always see things about Taylor Swift. I didn't comment on this video because I saw hate on it, I commented because this video is one of the reasons why -I- personally think she should at least be respected, if not liked. I get what you're saying though.

But even as a bit of a bystander, I've always been aware of how much she gives back to her fans. It's a beautiful thing to see. That's what being a celebrity is all about, giving back. Other celebrities should take note. My 5 year old son wants to be famous one day and I tell him all the time, should that ever happen, it's his duty to give back to the community (visit sick kids, kids in need, etc). I think he's got a good head on his shoulder.
"Giving back...to those in need"??? The bridal shower alone cost more than most weddings. Visiting a Humble fan's celebration vs showering another rich, self-promoting attention seeker would have been "giving". This is Not a good example for your child.

I've always loved her music. I love her even more. GENUINE, funny, smart and sweet. I'm 54 and I hope to grow up just like her. I'm just so proud of the loving person she is in an industry that's more noted for egos, divas, excess and pride. I truly admire her and the way she lives her life.
