OSMENT SHOW GUILTY - MAIN REPORT

Robert Murphy is the only journalist to have covered the Darren Osment trial throughout.
Darren Osment murdered his former partner in June 2012.
But after Osment called the police to confess - and then retracted that admission in 2019 - a covert officer called 'Paddy O'Hara' was deployed for 20 months.
Rob sat through the voir-dire arguments before the hearings before the jury sat. And he watched as both Darren Osment, the undercover officer 'Paddy' gave evidence.
It was Rob's legal submission to the court which led to the judge releasing the covert footage to the media.
