- This is about perfection in modular mechanics and future-proof design.
This camera can be updated with many accessories up to and including a digital back. But why would you bother? This is a camera for large format film lovers. High quality lenses, precise shutter and film transport, robust construction and simplicity are all you need.
Discover this iconic camera if you are new to this camera.
Re-discover and enjoy the mechanical perfection if you are already an old hand in photography but decided to join the dark side and go all-digital.
This may inspire you to once again to truly enjoy the process of photography, thinking and agonizing about composition and lighting before you press that shutter button and blow $3 per shot. - Věda a technologie

Brilliant video, so clear and concise. Thank you so much, sick to death of Americans blabbing on and on
Thanks for the positive comments. Please watch the other reviews on this channel and let us know what you think.
great channel. I see that you're based in Dubai... Do you have a shop??
Thanks for the positive comment. In response to your two questions:
No, I am based in Sydney and TechHeritage Channel is registered in Australia. But I regularly work in Dubai. There is no shop. However there is a private museum with 350 "mint condition" cameras from the year 1915 to 2015 (100 years). The aim is to create a Virtual Museum to share with the future world. So, we buy, but don't sell.
BTW I note your interest in Al Madam. You may like to have a look at this video on Contax RTS: czcams.com/video/8SUYjhPnpas/video.html
The pictures at the very end are from the long walk to Al Madam on foot. The films are also developed by myself.
@@TechHeritage I assumed that you live in Dubai as I saw many of your pictures here in the UAE.. I appreciate where you're going with this, it's a great idea to document this history of cameras 👍🏼. I've watched most of your videos by the way and I like the humor especially in the Mamiya c3 video 🤗 as I have that camera too and I like it a lot although I agree with you on how primitive it is .
It's a photographic equivalent of Volvo Amazon. Very Swedish. Even more Swedish than Ikea, arguably :)
I was hoping that Hasselblad would remain Swedish. However, they are now Chinese owned (JDI), another parallel with Volvo. My own father was very much involved in the original Volvo management structure and won some awards for it. At least Hasselblad is now majority owned by a company which has a real interest in Photography and has deep pockets too. Maybe that is the reason behind a surge of innovation at Hasselblad in recent times. It all started with Victor Hasselblad's unrelenting passion for Bird Photography, in the face of opposition from his own father. We need that kind of passion in the current generation.
This one is sky rocket in price due to its back digital 50c & its latest 100c..
I think I have to sell all the Leica's here to buy one of those digital backs. I think I will stick with film photography.
@@TechHeritage I wish i could have bought any of the 500 series before the digital back even existed... now the price can easily reach 2k++ usd depend on condition..
FYI, the camera that I demonstrated including the lens and all the accessories was bought for £1,100 at an online auction. But buying "as is" without any guarantees requires considerable risk taking. On this occasion, the seller was Chiswick, United Kingdom, whom I have found to be quite reliable. This may have been a lucky find.
