Yes and no. You can record live actions synced to the happenings is the other DAW or also play live on your own instrument built in VCV Rack. VCV Rack has a little bit different structure than other DAWs and maybe you want to integrate the features. This is one way, but there are many others, I'm sure.
There are more experienced experts on that, e.g. Omri Cohen. I learned everything that I know about VCV Rack from his tutorials. I only know and use a few modules. It is a tough competiton :)
