Your worry too much about the flood! 😂. If the underground freeways get flooded, so what. It will trap the water in it to prevent the water from leaking out
We are the 4th largest city in the United States, just behind Chicago, but we don't really have a tourist infrastructure and certainly not one that attracts world attention. There are attractions in the general area but not much to see downtown, and getting around on public transport is very limited. We could use some high speed shuttle trains between the airports and downtown/galleria and Galveston, and more to see in the middle of the city. If we can establish a healthy tourist industry the city will be forced to clean up the crime problem to avoid embarrassment.
To make the city happy and reduce crimes, they need to put more attractions and get more people here and thats never a bad thing. Houston will love visitors. Yall are old if yall think this is bad!
just build a metro system from Sugarland to Downtown, Katy to downtown, pasadena to downtown and Spring to downtown. We are tired of this traffic. People gotta leave the house at 7 am to reach their job which starts at 9 when the distance shouldnt be more than 30 mins
we need some educated precisely with knowledge on economics and structural engineering to be our next Mayor. I am tired of these mfers who know nothing about urbanization
"FIX FLOOD AND HORRIFIC (HOUSTON) STREET ISSUES!!!" (1ST) THE STREETS ARE STILL F@#$ BUT THE (LAST ) MAYOR SYLVESTER WAS SUPPOSE TO HAVE TAKEN CARE OF THAT.HE DIDNT.SAD..
That train on Main Street was such a waste it was so much fun being able to walk across the street and bar hop. With nothing blocking you also residents rarely ever use the train as transportation because to many homeless just ride it for free and beg for money I loved downtown at 1 point in my life but as years rolled by it just got worse I won’t be calling downtown home anymore after July
incompetent people who are in charge of the infrastructure of this city stay too long, That is good that we finally have new faces and hopefully new initiatives
It was better in the 1980s after the oil bust when downtown was a complete ghetto where you could be murdered if you were there after dark. If you did not want to get murdered you did not go there after dark. Simple enough. The right politicians were bought to initiate this project that benefits only a small minority of Houstonians and pushes poor people out of that area. Houston has many other problems that are much more severe like the nearly daily road rage shootings and murders. Oh, and instead of those stupid metro surface level trains that CAUSE traffic jams, congestion, and air pollution when they interrupt fast traffic signal operation, the idea of a REAL commuter rail system carrying passengers to major residential areas surrounding the city is off the table. Roads and highways around downtown are jammed up nearly most all daytime hours of the day and they want to make it worse.
They didnt want to sacrifice space for the rails. So they put it on the roads. They want more space for more builidngs which leads to happy city and more people coming here. But they should of built more and taller skyscrappers.
Building an underground freeway in a flood prone swamp...yeah, nothing could go wrong with that.
🤣 get your Scuba suit
Just dumb!!
It could double as a cistern for water when flooding

@@Brand-pn5yzHumid, moldy swamp city. Great!

@@foggy34people can move here if they want to. Nyc traffic is worst then this. So what are you compaining about?
@@foggy34shut up lmao. People like you are insufferable. We are not full, we are barely full. Just move out to the country if you hate cities so much
How about fixing the flood problems
By trapping the water in the tunnels.
Jesus Christ, Houston construction will never end.
Will lead to lots of traffic
On the roads yes. But they need to start working on buildings and such.
@@Brand-pn5yzso true.
It’s not supposed to end it’s supposed to be constantly improving

HOUSTON WE HAVE A PROBLEM
"not a cent"... as they raise sales tax.
Just got 5billion for the HWY'S! An the HWY revamp isn't even finished! 2100???
It floods when it storms heavily in a matter of minutes. An underground freeway 🤨
Sounds fun. 😂. They might finally let Boats on the freeways.
They need proper drainage and to trap water somewhere.
they need to look at Japanese infrastructure and follow the similar route
🗣️Do something with the ASTRODOME 😤🥲
A train already goes there, the red line
@@jayasmrmore3687 they need to start a high speed one ngl
ASTRODOME is way too expensive sadly. The only way to do it is Houston getting a NHL team and some private fund constructing mini version of Astrodome

What about the Houston Zoo? I need a indoor Zoo as soon as possible.
Lol no

Lola: [angrily] I couldn’t face the extreme heat. I, Lola Loud, might possibly have to email the city of Houston to build a indoor zoo.
Lol eww hell no! Think about zoo animal feces. And think about the moisture idiot! Plus it may not be good for them.
just get the rid of Zoo
Observation:
This smells of a move out of Chicago's playbook.
Look how well it's working in Chicaco !
So what are you saying?
Chicago does get more tourists than us
@@fofoish777 well cuz we got nothing else than good food and NASA lol.

Not a cent. Lol. Ok
Meanwhile plans on how to skim from that extra income is well established 🤷 that’s why freeways take 10yrs to finish.
Smh!! Not again!!
