- The Buffalo was our first National River here in the US and stretches 135 breathtaking miles through the Ozarks Mountain Country in northern Arkansas. Previous to this outing I had very little knowledge of the area, and needless to say, the pristine beauty of this hidden gem absolutely blew me away!
This video is intended to be used as a primer for planning a canoe trip on this beautiful river. As always, planning a safe and enjoyable experience is ultimately up to you and your party, but hopefully this video will pique your interest enough to inspire a closer look!

Thank you Brad for your kind words! I’m sorry I haven’t been very active on this platform recently, but I do hope you and your son had an incredible trip!!

It's hard not to capture something beautiful in place like that! Thanks for the comment :)
Nice trip, another river added to my list.
Paddleboarding out of St. Louis Missouri. Just put this river on my "to do" list. Thanks for making a great video!
M Modtomic it’s 100% worth a visit! My website is currently under construction so the link to the detailed written itinerary is defunct at the moment, but let me know if you have any questions about trip planning-I’d be happy to help

Great video. We are going in march this year. Tyler bend to rush. Will be our third time canoeing the beautiful river. Take someFishing poles next time. The fishing is great!
I will most certainly be going back for another trip too (hopefully sooner rather than later) and next time I'll pack the rods--great tip, thanks!
Smallmouth bass are supposed to be abundant on the Buffalo from what friends have told me.
I grew up on this river. The mountains of Colorado have been my place of residence for 15 years but the Ozarks and that river will always be my home. Brought back wonderful memories- great video and thank you!
Thanks, Bo! I had never been before this trip and was absolutely blown away by the region--I hope I did it some semblance of justice!
Very nice!
Thanks Joey!

In April and May after a good rain..it's like a waterslide..great rapids
What a well done video! Only one problem though...far too short! I could have watched for hours. Thank you for sharing with us!
Thank you! And yes, I could watch Buffalo River clips all day as well lol such a beautiful place 🙌🏼
As someone who has been lucky enough to have traveled to 48 states and countless national parks... The upper buffalo river area is probably one of, if not the most underrated places this country has to offer. It sure does fly under the radar. I still remember my first time on the river. I remember driving up there for a "weekend kayaking trip" while I was in college. We drove up in the dark, arrived at Sam's throne at 2AM. I still recall waking up the next morning, walking out on Sam's throne, and thinking I just woke up in the Smokey mountains. Excellent video BTW. Check out "The Big Piney" for another good float trip.
Morgan Harris riiiight?? So beautiful! And thanks for the suggestion, I’ll definitely check it out
Try the Current River. Did 75 miles on it last June. Great trip.
Thanks for the video, looks like good times
👍💤💤💤💟 thanks for the view James KCMO
I’m going here next week for a vacation
Have a great trip!
nice
What is best for this trip a canoe to carry overnight gear or a kayak
Nice
Thanks, glad you enjoyed!
The bridge at the end of the video, where is that? if you wouldn't mind me asking thank in advance
ease tres Don’t recall for certain, but it was right at the Pruitt take-out, so I’m guessing it was Route 7 where it crosses the river north of Jasper, AR.
I'm creating a playlist for the Buffalo National River area. Can you use this video in it?
Yep!
Thanks! I added it to the Buffalo National River Videos playlist on my channel. Thanks again
