  • Stephen Hicks is Professor of Philosophy at Rockford University. He is the author of Explaining Postmodernism: Skepticism and Socialism from Rousseau to Foucault and many articles on entrepreneurial education, including a Wall Street Journal piece “What Entrepreneurship Can Teach Us about Life.” His “Philosophy of Education” course is available free online at CZcams. He and co-author Andrew Colgan have recently completed a new manuscript, Eight Philosophies of Education.

    As a musician I agree that it requires you to learn maths, physics and even biology to understand music.

    Dogma replaces free thought. Need cognative style seeking expanded thinking, challenge received knowledge.
