  • Thinking about a woman on a solo walk around the world almost everyone comes up with one question: Why? This video is our answer to this question, actually it's Angela's reply. We were just fortunate enough to catch it on camera.
We came across Angela in Western Australia. She was walking in the middle of nowhere in a place where the Great Sandy Desert hits the Indian Ocean. It was hot, it was dusty and the next point of civilization was at least 200 km in any direction. We stopped to offer help, water, food, but to our surprise she was fine. She was not only fine, she was great! Smiling, full of energy and motivation. To us this was a special moment and we knew straight away we had to see her again.
About 3 months later Angela took a break from walking to prepare herself and her equipment for Asia. This was our chance to see her again and get to know the person we only met once on the side of the road.
This interview is only part of the footage we took during the 3 days we spent with her. We talked day and night and to our surprise we had far more in common than we thought. Angela is not a lunatic, she is not crazy or reckless. Instead she is one of the bravest woman we have ever met. Not for walking around the world, but for taking the risk to follow her heart.
Angelas walk has a deeper sense in capturing stories of women she is coming across around the world, giving them a platform to speak out. We felt obliged to capture Angelas story and show the world what a lovely person she is. It's not much we did, but if it will be of any help to accomplish the challenge of her inner calling we are more than pleased.
