      Everybody knows with the Eagles all you have to do is make Jalen throw. He's mediocre at QB. Make them throw. Stuff the runs. Game over. That's exactly what everybody did after the 49ers gave everyone else the blueprint.

    It’s pretty simple, they were winning off of straight talent and the scheme wasn’t winning them a game and that caught up to the team in the end

    On the Defense, they blew up the chemistry by that clumsy move to demote the DC and then bring in Patricia.

Every win was hard fought and damn near a loss whereas the year before we were winning in dominating fashion. I think the Hurts and Sirianni disconnect relates specifically to how they wanted Hurts to handle obvious blitz situations. Hurts got smacked from behind time and time again because they wanted him to turn away from the blitzing defender instead of doing what almost every other team in the league does and have an answer underneath.
    The hiring of Kellen Moore is - I think - Sirianni's confession that he / Brian Johnson had the wrong idea.
    I think the Eagles make the NFCCG this year if they stay healthy. I think they'll need another year with the same coordinators and experience for their young defense before they make it back to the big game.

  • @billburtis8616

    The problem was coaching. The coaches could not scheme against opposing defenses and offenses. The coaches were unable to make in game adjustments. The play calling and schemes were terribly inadequate for the NFL. Eagles made huge upgrades in coaching so expectations should be a ten to twelve win season. Low numbers considering the offensive talent, because of the implementation of many new plays and schemes, and the defense has been mediocre for a very long time.

  • @Scyon13
    @Scyon13 Před měsícem +1

    We already know, the playcalling was horrible and the defense fell off big because of guys leaving or falling off due to age, idk why people saw this as a sudden collapse, they didn't look great even in wins, they just out talented teams, when they met the strong teams, they finally got exposed.
    I'm an Eagles fan, last years play calling on both sides was painful to watch idk why we are allergic to blitzing, I'm so tired of these passive heavy zone based passing defenses, idk why aggression is looked at as a bad thing, as for offense who the f calls a QB run on 3rd and long? Nick Sirianni that's who.

    Kelce has been big "Poppa" in Philly since Mudd and Stoutland chiseled the sexy Batman out of him. He was not ready to retire, hence the non stop speculation about his return which will happen after the Eagles celebrate their Super Bowl win... Now the problem arizes when a young bull who is now a clear leader of Vets at year 3 can't change a play at the line of scrimmage because big Poppa/Kelce says no, and no one on the coaching staff is going to side with Jalen over Kelce and as QB1 that does something to you. I dont know, but if I were to take a swing at it. I'd speculate that things changed on that fateful day when Jalen tried to change the QB keep from left to right and kelce flat out defied him and said no... I can just imagine Jalen being told to just suck it up and keep playing cause I mean: its Kelce!... The 🐐, so yea I wouldn't have wanted to be in that locker room after that incindent was caught in 8k. S/O to Kelce for stepping down to allow Jalen the space to take a lead role that will not be opposed from within cause that always tears families apart.

      Bro that’s a massive oversight. They were down when Purdy got hurt. No way possible to know if the 49ers would’ve won that game. @@youngcasperjett7584 that has nothing to do with what I’m talking about out. I’m not trying to debate whether or not the niners should have won that game. Like you said there is no way to tell. What I’m saying is from the actual players point of view. The niners think they were cheated and were the better team and the Eagles believed they are a legit team. The talking back and forth from that point on up until the end of the game the eagles lost only made doubt how they felt psychologically. It was the circled game on the schedule for both teams. The eagles wanted to prove they were not frauds and the niners wanted to prove that playoff game was a fluke. It’s no coincidence that the eagles who were 10-1 lost the last 6 out of 7 games of the year. Like I said I’m not talking about the playoff games legitimacy I’m talking about how each team felt about it and what effect the rematch had on them.

That was literally their Super Bowl. The Eagles didn’t say anything even when Deebo dissed Bradberry. Only thing was ever said was when Reddick said THE WEEK OF THE GAME “They did a lot of whining, now they can line it up”. The Eagles circled the Chiefs game more than anything. That’s why Sirianni was yelling at the crowd when the Eagles beat them. Not the 49ers. And again, it’s no way to tell who win either or those games both teams full healthy and fully locked in.

      Thats giving them too much credit. The collapse really had all the makings of a burnout. That game came towards the end of a brutal and frankly unfair schedule

    That was 5 minutes. I will never get back. I mean seriously. Everyone knows what the problems were. The schemes run by those coordinators were God awful.Especially Brian Johnson running some high school level crap. It was simply talent that got them to 11 wins last year. If Moore and Vic are just half decent, this team will be contending for a super bowl. It was a wasted season.

    PEOPLE act like it's rocket science, this man is making millions talking sports and can't figure it out as I'm broke, here it is, you have immature players, young males, not men, making millions who had a problem about coaching, about his "life long coordinator" being fired and being salty about it and by the way dragging that nonsense into a new year with his comments, and a HC he doesn't respect, that's all good, but here's the problem, so what was their resolution? to throw games, to pout, to give up, on their teammates, fans, bosses etc, for god sakes the org. had to remind this slush brain, yes he is a slush brain Jalen Hurts, supposed leader of the team to lead his team, to be more vocal, to COMMUNICATE WITH HIS TEAM, that is a horrible indictment if you need to be reminded, him and his buddy Aj Brown caused dissension in the team and destroyed it, i don't care how bad the coaching was, a great football player like Hurts and the Eagles would never collapse that hard and get their doors blown off by Baker Mayfield in the playoffs even with bad play calling, that's called quitters, this man would go 3 and out run to the sideline with that same dumb look on his face and sit by himself, and people are so stupid they think because he says wise witty remarks at pressers that he's somehow mature or a man or a leader, he's not, guy is comatose, wearing eye black for night games, i think jalen hurts convinced fans that he's somehow stoic and mature, he's not, and here's the kicker, I'M AN EAGLES FAN, lifelong, generational Philly fan, this man lead his team down the drain because he didn't or doesn't have the mental clarity and wisdom to adapt and to seize the wins, that's what happened and nobody has the balls to say it

    We’re done talking and thinking about last year! Whatever happened that went wrong stays in-house, and people can’t seem to accept that lol now on to this year, you can’t name 3 teams with a better roster than Philly’s. If preparation & coaching are on point, and players stay relatively healthy, Eagles to the moon.. go birds 🦅
