Thank you for this video! I was debating going on this trip and unethical animal tourism really bothers me personally, so I don't think the trip is for me. I appreciate your honesty!
@thatgirlemily13 Thanks! I still really enjoyed the trip and do recommend it but I definitely wanted to be honest about the animal tourism. Our tour director did a good job of not encouraging it and trying to educate our group 😌
I work at EF, we adhere to World Animal Protection guidelines - some of the most stringent protections for animals. Our trips to Thailand do not feature ANY unethical animal tourism.
@@demersj123 yup! In the video I state that the other elephant sanctuary part of our group chose to go to was not ethical. I make sure to say in the video this place was found by a group member and our tour guide did not encourage it in anyway. The elephant sanctuary I went to via EF was fantastic! I made sure to distinguish the two 😌
The rest of the animal tourism had nothing to do with EF, it was just present around Thailand and like I said, our tour director encouraged us to not participate in any of it.
What time of year did you go?
I went in mid June 2023! It technically rainy season but we only had one brief rainstorm with no issues 😌

Are the flights included ?
Yes. EF includes flights in your bill, but you can choose to book your own flights too.
Yup! They are included if you select an airport you want to fly in and out of. You can also choose to book your own flights!
