@@rhythm6503 I can understand your frustration. But this has nothing to do with Messi. Refs in this competition are just so bad. A few months back, no one knew Messi would be in MLS and Inter Miami was not even in the teams to watch during this Leagues Cup. Quinones was absolutely onside. Messi is not playing in neither team, i don't see how this wrong call will benefinit him or inter Miami. Messi doesn't need wrong decisions from refs to win this competition. Mistakes were made in the game against Orlando. But Miami deserved their win. Orlando didn't play to win the game. They played to hurt Messi which was very wrong of their head coach as an approach. The team always wins.

It was agreed that Leagues Cup would be based in the US. There are more Mexicans in the States than Americans in Mexico, so I think logistically it makes sense. Some games are “home” games for the Mexican sides anyway, where the Mexican attendance outdoes that of the MLS. The Concacaf Cup will still feature games in Mexico.

MLS also didn’t have all home games, there were more than a few neutral site games.
