    An error noted:
    The sentence "He has AN unique idea for the project." is incorrect.
    The correct answer would be "a unique idea", or for that matter, "a university," or "a usual event." In fact, your sentence "Copper is A useful metal" is a correct example of this pronunciation. When the pronunciation of the "u" changes, for example: "an upward motion," or "the room was unavailable," then yes, the article "an" is correct. But for the pronunciations called for in your sentences, the correct article would be "a."
