2024-05-30 - Paragliding European Championship - Pegalajar - Task 8 - 100km

The condition is getting better and better and today we got a nice task with a leg going upwind and then around to complete a nice pentagon.
Strong climbs and super fast glides!

Who was that in the tree at launch?

Cannot remember the name but his story did not finish there: he recovered the glider, flew a part of the task and landed on an area with olive trees. He climbed on those trees to remove the glider and, apparently, you can be alergic of some substance that is on the leaves of the olive trees. He had an anaphylactic shock. Luckily the medics arrived just in time to save him. 5 more minutes and it could have been different outcome. What a day!
