Save your receipts! The thermal paper from the registers make the perfect glassy finish and you can gauge the track by the gray mark it makes on the print side. Better than newspaper, you don't have to deal with finding blank spots ink on your fingertips.
Yes! Glassfiles...and buyer beware. Don't buy those pink glass files they sell in hair and nails places. I went through 3 of them before I learned my lesson. Incredibly my nail tore through them. Found a better one after.
