    Hey, thanks for an awesome vid. I’ve been using The combinator here in Idaho (in hand) in both freezing (before icing up) and hot weather (before it drys) except I turn the applicator to pass along with the rubber. It’s a bit tricky at first but nearly no detailing and a time saver. Kind of frustrating on really soiled windows but maintenance clean is ideal. I got good tips originally from PickingPaul1

    I appreciate your honesty. Moerman accelerator and liquidator were trash. Same with their rubbers and mop sleeves. Sorbo rubber is trash and I gave up trying to figure out how the clip went back in and bought a Ninja channel to replace it. Everyone seems to want to do their own proprietary design to force people to use their rubbers, and it's all just a big money grab. Keep putting out real content like this and I'll keep watching it 👍

    I just got a samurai boab, Unger 40 degree with Ettore super channel! I was looking forward to a dry leg HA the samurai is an unbalanced POS that keeps my leg wet and dumps my tools ! For sure not made for a 22 mop . I even had issues with a 14" set up and the Ettore channel is junk too leaving all kinds of stuff on straight pulls. I have been using Sorbo Quicksilver channel many years but the last 6 months the rubbers have went to hell. what have you found that works well for a rubber in a sorbo?.

    Moerman squeegees you mentioned. I do like their squeegees in small sizes for minimal detailing. I have a ten inch and one cut shorter.
    The longer ones are pants.
    I haven’t had a lot of luck with house brands of tools.
    Brand names seem to be more hit than miss.

    • @ewingsharp8916
      @ewingsharp8916 Před 5 lety +1

      Brad Cruise I’m guessing you’re asking how I like the large Moerman squeegees. I prefer other brands. The Alumax from Pulex is one I’m enjoying at the moment but haven’t used more than a few weeks. The large squeegees from Moerman will work with some practice but can be a challenge to use on all types of frames. I believe they work best in smaller sizes on residential frames. Most importantly it depends on what gives the customer the best results in the fastest time. I prefer other brands for large commercial glass for a few reasons.
      1. Easier to turn in corners without leaving turn marks.
      2. Faster to move around the edges without catching on rubber seals.
      3. Easier to close out without leaving water on the glass.
      4. Less wear to the ends of your rubber.
      No disrespect to the Moerman product and some will say it just requires a more highly skilled Window cleaner to enjoy the benefits of their product. I have used them for months and could adapt to their idiosyncrasies...but the headaches of their skips and wear pattern don’t suit me compared to other large channels. Hope that helps 👊

    Unger red rubber is my go-to in the UK. Its suits our weather. Very hard-wearing.
    Moerman tools are brilliant if you have the patience to learn how to use them effectively. Zero detailing. I highly recommend the Moerman excellarator with fliq pad on a pole for trad work again zero detailing brilliant when used for residential cleaning.

    • @SteveOthewindowcleaner
      @SteveOthewindowcleaner  Před 3 lety +1

      I do use the moerman excelerator with a brass ettore channel, brilliant handle and fliq pad, Liquidator is horrible channel, shreds rubber and needs a paper clip to even remotely work ok on different frames. Unger red rubber??? I was talking about facelift red rubber, absolute crap rubber in my opinion. Zero detailing is a false narrative for lazy window cleaners in my opinion and has zero validity for an argument behind it.

      Soren/sorbo blades are too soft and wear fast, also proprietary to Sorbo channels. Universal round back blades are best, Ettore.

    Red rubber works great on squeegees 12 inches and under.
    Sorbo natural rubber is very soft, but lasts surprisingly long. Good for use with a light touch. Sorbo bulk rubber is trash.

    • @purecleaningservices1497
      @purecleaningservices1497 Před 5 lety

      Red rubber is a little plasticy... does leave very faint streaks on some windows, but it lasts much longer than any other rubber on moermon liquidator channels (10-12 inches). Good for frenchies.
      The Sorbo channel with the clips holds water better than any other channel - meaning it drips less and you can move it faster than any other channel without leaving tails as the water flies off.
      Legend channels are the worst. They are so tall, giving no flex to the rubber. If a window has any bit of unevenness to them, water will be left behind, if you don't apply tons of pressure. Very fatiguing.
      Any fixed t-bar longer than 12 inches is trash.

      SteveO The Window Cleaner Sörbo rubber don’t have that “round” thing in the center as the Baron rubber have, I guess that’s effect how the clips work? Just so we are fair,,,, And I have never seen you use Sörbo rubber ever in your videos 😃
      Don’t get me wrong I think it’s a good topic to address, the Sörbo pole was an expensive disappointment, perhaps made by Moerman? The black diamond rubber is harder (I don’t like it at all) and you have the Ettore Soren rubber, to honoring their best costumer ( I haven’t tested that one jet) Yes different glass needs different rubber ✌️
