  • A cheap way to get a better, louder sound from your exhaust pipes.
    All you need is a Drill and a 1/2" bit at least 12" long.

      @@rudyfaile yea it sucked but sounds 100 times better and only cost me the $20 drill bit. Was definitely worth the blister of doing it. 😀

      @@diznuttz5706 yes. Sounds 100 times better and only put two holes in the inner baffles. Three on the outer baffles. It saves a lot of money and it runs a lot better. That may be from rebuilding carbs and new plugs tho. 😀

    Do you know what diameter the header to muffler is to fit slip ons?

    I mistakenly cut two of the baffle plates out of my 1995 Intruder 800 years ago and it was way too lean. Not sure how to jet it to compensate now.

      Bigger jets=more fuel, or try adjusting your throttle cable

      @@John_Malka-tits I can't get a handle on weather she's running too lean or to fat now. I went back to factory carb kit after the dealer overcomped it by putting a cobra stage one kit in it and it was way too rich! It's running better but still not 100%.

      Just get new exhausts. Not worth ruining the bike over messing with the baffles.

    So after the first hole in the baffle there is two more plates or one i drilled thru the outside and another..?

    • @rudyfaile
      @rudyfaile  Před 9 měsíci

      It’s been a long time but I remember there being 2 after the outside plate, it's possible i'm misremembering though. With the 12" bit you should be able to take it all the way down and find out.

      I’m about that height. I’d say it’s a great first bike but eventually you will grow into a larger bike.
