Young Carreras had a voice that was absolutely stunning ( no better adjective to call it). Unfortunately, too much loud singing and a precarious health exerted their toll on this brilliant tenor. You must hear his young voice to marvel at such beauty.

SIMPLY MAGNIFICENT- no-one better than this.
I heard him sing this at the Met in 1978. He had a beautiful voice with an impressive amount of volume. A bigger voice than Pav's or Domingo's.
