âą Hair Mistakes, How To ... - Jak na to + styl
Thank you for taking the time to watch! Iâd love to hear what styling tips youâd like to see in this series! What do you struggle with when it comes to styling your hair?
Knowing the correct products to use on my thick hair. Your tips though are going a very long way in helping me though. I feel like when I get my hair cut soon Iâll be a lot more confident in trying to style it.
Megan Harrington hey! You know what....this may seem silly but Iâve actually not even thought about doing product knowledge videos!!!!! Donât ask me why! In my mind I go straight to the more technical stuff I guess.....but youâve got a great idea and Iâll totally do some! Thank you!!
Justin Hickox My pleasure and I really look forward to seeing that video!đđŒâïž
I never know what to do with my hair!
Thank you! This was amazing. :)
I followed along and blow dried my hair and I have to say it was the best blowout Iâve ever done myself. Thank you for all the great tips!
Thatâs awesome! Thank you so much for sharing. Iâm so glad I could help.
Thank you for taking the time to make these tutorials. You have a great teaching style.
Thank you so much Lorna!!! I truly appreciate the kind words!!! Thanks for the support!
Your wife is so very beautiful. She has a wonderful smile.
Iâll make sure to let her know you said that. Sheâll love to hear it! And I definitely canât argue with you on that!
Gorgeous wife
Dionna is a stunning beauty and those dimples!! You're a cute couple... :)
Could not agree more! đ„
This is one of the best training videos on blowing drying oneâs own hair. I like that she did her own hair while you gave tips.
Thank you! That was fantastic! Please do more of these showing how to hold flat irons, curling irons, wands, etc..
Thank you!!! And....guess what!!!.... if youâre curious about flat irons, I think you MAY like next weeks video! đ
Love you walking someone doing their own hair! This was SO helpful. Thank you.
Thank you! Iâm glad you liked it. I think itâs much easier to follow when people can watch someone doing it on themselves rather than a stylist working on a client.
Thank you SO MUCH for this series! Iâd love to get guidance on drying the back myself. Iâve got very thick hair just below shoulder length, and itâs tricky to section, brush and blow all at the same time. Thanks!
Great tips! Using the round brush has always been difficult for me, so glad I have come across your videos!
Awesome! Thanks for the feedback. Iâm glad this could help.
These videos are so helpful. When a professional does all the work itâs hard for me to catch on, but watching you teach your beautiful model is so helpful. I do my hair exactly how she was doing hers before you corrected her, and I had no clue why it never looks like what my stylist does.
Thank you so much for this tutorial! So many details alot of us may not have thought about on our own!
Love how you take the time to show how to use different products for different hair styles.
Thank you! I appreciate the feedback
Fantastic content, Justin. Your videos are so helpful, and because you explain Why, something I've always needed to know, everything makes so much sense. I've been binge watching all of your videos. Love them all.
Today I learned a lot about hair styling from your channel! Your wife's idea about doing it herself while you explained how it should be done was great!
Btw, I'd love if you could give some ideas about how to style a medium to long thin hair for people with receding chin. Thanks & keep up with the good work! đđ
This was incredibly helpful!! Thank you so much for doing these videos.
I love your videos. Thank you for teaching us how to improve our hairs, and ourselves.
Fantastic tips and hits, youâve just made blow drying my hair-in lockdown-much easier and with a more polished finish.
Thank you! đŠđŠđș
The two of you demonstrating the various techniques is wonderful. Vastly helpful watching your gorgeous wife blow out her hair versus a âprofessionalâ blow dry where you make it look both easy AND complicated, if that makes sense. If your wife is game, Iâd love more of these âreal worldâ tutorials. Many thanks. What a great looking couple you are!
Love your videos. Especially love how you have your wife do it so we see what it is like when we would do it ourselves. I can never seem to get the same results as I do from my stylist, but with you explaining everything and having your wife do it makes so much more sense now. Thanks for taking the time to do these vidoes!
You're so welcome! Glad they helped! Thanks for checking them out!
Your tutorials are fantastic! after being sick for so long, it has thinned out so much and i have almost given up on my hair. I have learned so much in three of your videos and can't wait to put them to practical use. Looking forward to more videos. Giving me hope!! Thank you
Great video, covering techniques Iâve never seen before, from a fantastic, generous teacher. Thank you!
This was by far THE most informative video Iâve ever watched about blow dry. Thank you!
Thank you so much. I just stumbled upon your channel while searching for help with my hair. Your wife is brilliant with her idea. Please keep making your videos. Love them.
Awh thanks!!!! I really appreciate that!! Iâll make sure to tell my wife you said that!!! Sheâll be stoked to hear it......then continue to remind me of it every hour on the hour for the next 6 months! Lmao!!!!! I honestly appreciate your support. Thank you!
Love the explanations and very detailed. Canât wait to try it out!
YESSSSS! Loved this! I have THICK BEAUTIFUL HEALTHY HAIR AT 64. Just above the shoulder natural body still! Have a lob hair style. Never use brush / only wide mouth comb. Round brush for styling. Very helpful! â€. I do most of what you showed
So so so many great tips! Iâve been doing the WRONG things when blow drying my hair. Gonna follow these tips from now on.
Just found your channel! These are great styling videos ... I am learning a lot! It is absolutely great to have a model (your lovely wife, in this case!) who does "all the things" that prompt you to demonstrate the better way to get great results. Thanks ... really loving these!
Youâre so welcome thank you for checking it out!!!
I watched and followed as closely as possible I loved the results thankyou Iâm 68 and love it đ
Iâm so happy to have found your videos they are so helpful!now I understand what I have been doing wrong.
Love this Justin, especially as I have curly hair & if I want a straight style i use GHD straighteners, I use rarely due to damage so I depend on large round brush & blow dry, or I let it dry on it's own after a quick blast of drying roots like you've just done. Learned so much more about different types of brushes. Thank you for sharing. đ„°
Youâre so welcome! Thanks for the feedback. Iâm super glad that these tips helped you.
I love these videos of Mr. Hickoxâs. He is informative with solutions.
â€ïž love this video. Thanks Justin
Loved this video! Something I do at home is twist the brush as I blow dry and it helps create these soft curls.
I realize this video was created a year ago⊠But thank you so much! It was so instructive to watch your beautiful wife do it herself. I have a waist length hair and use the Olivia garden large round brush to dry and smooth my wavy fine hair. When finished I then use a small-maybe 1â, at the crown on top close to the scalp to create instant lift.
LOVED this video Justin! I saw ALL the mistakes my stylist did yesterday to take away ALL of my volume. đ€š
Great great vĂdeo Justin!! Thanks so much for this info!!! Have a fantastic day and rest of the week đđ
Thank you!!! Iâm so glad you liked it!!! Have a great week too!
Love this Justin I've watched this video numerous times and love Deonnas hair cut I love her hair my hair is her length how would I tell my stylist to cut my hair like this really ?? Love how her layers are it doesn't take away her length in the front sides thanks so much!!đŻ
Your Wife is amazing! Intelligent, supportive & I love her sense of humour too! She is a natural beauty and it's so good to see a woman not "hiding behind a tonne of makeup" You make a great team. Thank you for your extremely practical advice to those of us who struggle to style our hair ( I'm sure I'm not the only one who feels "Oh this is to hard so just put it in a ponytail or messybun.... ) so TY once again Justin for your channel. During lockdown what better time to educate the Academics who had our head in the books while the rest of the population was doing their hair LOL . Your channel is "JUSTIN-TIME" LOL . I am binge watching between study and reports for work, so your videos are my reward for attaining my goals ( or sometimes partially..... ) I think inspiration can really spur the brain on ; D
Lol! Just In Time. I appreciate your kindness and support! Thank you much for all of it!
I bought the Oliver round brush and love it. Learning these techniques will help me better with blow driving my hair.
Awesome! Iâm so glad I could help. I love those brushes. Hands-down they are my favorite round brush without question.
Appreciate all the attention to detail! Great videos, thank you!
Wonderful!! This is exactly what I needed!! I have no clue & now I do.
Awesome! Nobody teaches you this stuff! So gratefull! Respect! â„ïžđŻđđ»
This really really was so helpful. What a great idea. Up until this point I was still blowing my hair dry and then hitting with my straighter. I feel like I could possibly give myself a proper blowout after watching this.
Thank you thank you thank you!!! So many helpful tips that I've never heard of from other hair tutorials! I rarely subscribe to channels but now I'm subbing immediately!
What a great video! I just bought one of these brushes and needed to learn how to use it. I like the way you had the actual client do her own hair, instead of you doing her hair.
I really appreciate your videos!
Lucky lady, lucky guy. You two are delightful đ„
Thank you. This is one of the most helpful videos I've ever watched!!! I can see all the things I do wrong. Thank you to your wife đ
Loved this! So helpful! After too many years of incorrect, frustrating blow drying and frizz! Best tips: tipping head over, drying roots with hands and best of all twirling brush up and out, not DOWN. I have the Olivia brushes too. Hallelujah @Justin Hickox!
Awesome! Iâm so glad I could help! Thank you! And...those brushes are awesome right!
I've just recently discovered your channel and I am learning so much from you. A huge thank you to you as well as your beautiful wife!
I always learn from your great videos! Thank you!
Thank YOU!! I truly appreciate your support!
Loving this series. I am growing my hair out and would love to see a tutorial on using thinning shears to thin my hair while at home.
Thank you! Iâll definitely consider throwing that into some future videos. I appreciate the feedback.
Your instruction on waving with a straightening iron was helpful. Thanks!
Youâre welcome! Glad I could help!
This video is amazing! đ Thank you so much, this was a great help. I really appreciate it. Well detailed. Love it! â€ïž
I love the tip about how to hold the brush and the way apply oilđ
Thank you so much! What a great idea, it is exactly what I have been looking for. Love you two!
Awesome! Glad you found the video Diane!
You have the gift of teachingđ Thank youđ€
I just found your channel and subscribed. This video was so helpful! A suggestion for another tutorial is what types of hair products for styling to use such as mousse, gels, pastes, etc. and when you would use them/for what purpose. Looking forward to more! Thank you!!
Thank you so much! Thatâs definitely a video I need to make! I appreciate the feedback and suggestion!
Thank you for great tips !!
So glad I found your channel. What a brilliant idea your wife had, clever woman! Itâs going to help me so much.
Outstanding video. Every stylist should teach us how to dry & style our hair! I can never come close to making my hair look as pretty as my stylist does.
Great tipsâŠ..after sooooo many years this is so basic to know but the stylists do not teach, and looking at them is not the way to learn !
Great student with your wife. So sweet and patient for your hĂper personality. Great couple! Many blessings â€
Loved it and just did today before your video God send video tutorial đđ
I just found your channel and love the videos, thank you so much for making them! I also love my Dyson dryer, itâs the kindest one Iâve ever owned to my fine but thick, wavy, cowlicky, highlighted hair. One tip I can share is, after using the dryer and a round brush on a section, I flip the dryer over and let itâs air intake on the back sit over the section for a few seconds. It cools the hair and sets it, makes it shinier, and is also faster (for me) than running the dryer on cool over my whole head after blow drying. Thanks again, and I look forward to more videos.
Thank you so much! I appreciate that a ton. A always love when people share tips that are working for them.
She looks great! Beautiful hair color, highlights and layering. I love the Olivia Garden round brushes. I now know how better to use them. Thanks for the tips.
Awesome! Thank you!! Olivia Gardens are the best right!!
@@justinhickox I have the Olivia Garden ion round brush. Is that a good brush to use?
Just found your videos, tremendously helpful tutorials. Will be getting the brush and products you use. Thank you!
It is not easy at all to do at home what the professional does in the salon. We could clearly see this.
Great video. Realistic. Please bring us more of this.
Thank you
You are a really good teacherđ great information! đ
Thank you so much!!!
Very good details. And using a real person doing this. Helped a lot and reasons why.
I think about you EVERY time I blow dry haha...youâre a great teacher, Justin! Please address how to choose the right size round brush...thanks!
Thatâs awesome! Thank you so much. Iâm really glad that I can help. Itâs a great topic suggestion. Iâll have to throw that into an upcoming video.
I learn so much more from this video by you allowing her to do her own hair with the blow dryer and round brush. Please do more videos like that. Iâd love to see a video on how she would do a beach wave with a flat iron.
Thank you Linda! I appreciate you taking the time to check out my video. I actually did a video of exactly what youâre asking for here. Check it out if you havenât already. :)
Yes!!!
That was WONDERFUL ,thank you â„ïž
Loved the helpful tips
saw your announcement on Sunny's story tonight. Congratulations! It's so great to see so much growth for you in less than a month! Also, I love your content, because I struggle doing my own hair... :) Thanks for sharing your success story!!
Thank you so much! Sunny has changed everything for me!!! I couldnât be more appreciative of what they do!!! I truly feel blessed. Thank you for checking out my channel!!! Are you in the authority accelerator or the bosses group?
@@justinhickox I am in the Bosses course, but haven't begun the work on my channel. I have two businesses, one service (mortgage brokerage) and one e-commerce (succulents and gift items). I have been interested in working on just one channel for one of the businesses, for now. The Authority Accelerator is something I'm keenly interested in, but my challenge is what exactly my content will cover. Wondering if the Accelerator course would help me refine that...? In any case, love what you're doing. I watched several more of your videos this morning. Very inspiring, I love that everyone you makeover FEELS amazing. I'm inspired to do something with my own hair now, too. haha Thanks for the reply!
Great styling tips! Thank you!
Love your video. I am a newbie. I even shared with my stylistđ
you two are awesome, love your channel!
I think this one of the most informative hair videos I have seen! Very helpful!I
Really!?! Thank you Cheryl! I really appreciate that a ton!
Extremely helpful. Thanks!
Justin, thank you. This vid helped my hair look a bit better. Great tip on how to distribute mousse and shine products. The only thing is, I'm still not sure I'm holding blowdryer correct. I'll watch vid again.
Awesome! Iâm so glad the tips are working for you!!!!! The blowdryer can be a tough one to get used to using correctly. Definitely go through that part of the video again. The biggest thing is to just make sure the airflow is parallel to the hair strand and pointed down the hair shaft not up it. Hope that helps a little.
Iâm sure youâve covered this but I can never get enough volume tips for us ladies with wavy/curly hair. I guess my main things are layering it strategically and root lift. And gel. But I need all the tips I can get! :)
Oh my gosh! Why did it take me 53 years to find you? I stumbled across this video and thought meh, I know how to blow dry my hair. I watched it and gave it a try and damnnnnnnnn, i look like I had my hair blown dry by a professional. Imagine that. I happen to have the same brush that you used in the video. Everything you said to do I did and it works my fine hair has body and looks like thereâs twice as much there. Thank you so much for doing what you do!
Thank you so much! This is the best compliment you could give me. I truly, truly appreciate it.
This video is so helpful!! Thank you!
Thank you.đVery helpful.đ
Love this video!
Thank you so much Lisa! I truly appreciate that! Thanks for checking out my channel!
I learned more in the next minutes thank you
So useful! Thanks for the tips
This is really helpful because I'm so useless at doing my own hair. I have thin hair so end up having too much product so it looks heavy, flat and greasy or the blowdryer just creates a frizzball when I don't use product. Also trying to know how to hold the dryer is always tricky. Really enjoyed this video. I'll give it a go! Thank you!
Thanks!!
As long winded as the explanations are, I think itâs worth it. You showed us how we SHOULD do it vs how we should NOT do it. I like that. Shows us what success looks like. Thank you.
Loved your video. I still in tip I have is for curly dry hair after shampooing and conditioning your hair put one or 2 teaspoons of coconut all throughout your hair it will take care of the frizzies and allow you to style it however you want.
Great tips. Thanks
This helped me a lot. I will see in the morning if I remember the technique. I will check out the products also. I will subscribe.
Thank you Carolyn! Iâm so glad it helped!!! Canât wait to hear how the techniques worked for ya the next morning!!! :)!
Ty for empowering us! đđ
Beautiful Couple! You guys work well together â€
What a GREAT IDEA! I loved all the techniques you showed us! I make the same mistakes you wife made đ€
Can you please make a video on how to blow dry the back of the hair? Is always the more complicated for me ! (Medium length or long hair) And also how to deal with cowlicks.... grrrr!!! I have a rebel one with my bangs
Thank youuuu!!! You just got a new subscriber and a thump up from me !
Thank you! I canât take credit for the idea....it was my wives. Sheâs smarter than me....but donât tell her! :) Iâll definitely work that into a future video! Thanks so much for the feedback and support!
Wow. For 50 years, the only thing I did correctly was use mousse and bend over to dry my hair. Couldn't figure out how to use the brush with the dryer so I just gave up. Thank you SO much for sharing your knowledge so generously (and for your wife's suggestion). I'll check out the Dyson dryer. Love your videos!
Wow đ€© havenât found such video with such great tips on any channel â„ïž
Thank you! I truly appreciate that.
What a great idea for a video. Really enjoyed this and learned a lot!
Awesome! Iâm so glad you liked it! Thanks for the feedback! Anything else youâd like to see a video on? Iâm always looking for new ideas. :)
I love all the information
Thank you!
