Combos are very fun to do in this game. There are right amount of restriction and freedom for combo, and each character has the same rule but different combo structure, so it’s very fun to explore as well.

I'll be honest, I don't really understand the appeal of Hololive but I think it's really cool that such a game for fans by fans is released for free. It looks well made.
In the end, it's content. People enjoy Hololive content just like everyone else enjoys their respective content of choice.
well, it's free BECAUSE it's a fan game. they can't monetize it or Cover (Hololive's parent company) can sue them

Doesn't matter if you are bad at Botan, I tried to troll on a pretty decent Suisei player and all I did was keep spamming Poi in different directions and I got a Seiso match... That's how much damage she can deal...
this game is tight. maybe a *bit* overtuned but I love when devs aren't scared to just make every character strong
its guilty gear without the movement
@@UncleMerlin It's Guilty Gear but with the movement philosophy of KOF or Street Fighter. The combos are much more free form and easier to string together like Guilty Gear but the ground game is based much more around footsies and understanding your attack ranges like Street Fighter. You can still pull some crazy Guilty Gear or DBFZ styled shit but the movement is more grounded. There's less rejumps and more resets and set up play while still keeping it fairly simple in terms of Timing. I'm kinda hoping if Pekora is added as DLC she's an item throw character like Faust because number one it's fitting and number two I just think if they do her like a combo of Xrd and Strive Faust she's gonna absolutely be a monster of a wild card.

@@Zeromaru42 Okay so, unfortunately Pekora is not necessarily an "item throw" character. But what is interesting is that she has some setplay elements, via setting up explosives and kicking them around. She can also set up a mortar to fire two shots at the enemy's position. One of her special moves is an "ORA ORA ORA" that helps her keep enemies stationary as well while she uses it, so that can theoretically facilitate the mortar and some of the explosives.
That last bit with Suiちゃん's Super Nova was a nice touch. いい感じだ

This game could not have come out at a more perfect time. Like SF6 is just around the corner, so this game would have just enough time to shine in the sun before SF6 buries any and all fighting games that will come out for the next two months. Happy that a lot of content creators are checking it out!
plus it’s free, so it’s not like the game’s just gonna die the moment SF6 launches. i guarantee that this is gonna be one of those games that has a stable community even if it shrinks due to it’s low barrier of entry, similar to how +R is nowadays.
I hope that people dont put too much expectations on this game. It is polished on it's current state but I wish people stop comparing it to triple A fighting games. This is a passion project after all and there are some FGC jank that people will love or hate. It will have future updates and the devs are really active right now since they are watching Hololive girls play it and they are releasing bug fixes and voice patches since the talents themselves are providing them.

You can use 236G or super after 5M.
But it’s very difficult to get that timing.

Coco can have some insane grabs, but yeah, not really flashy.
I am not technically versed but I saw someone grab, throw into "next Même", tail grab, up down, on bounce grab up down again or was it a jump into drop down in large dragon form. Just the grabs deal a large chunk of damage it is insane if she ever gets close.

btw, after doing Botan's Trickshot, You can Air Grab -> 6M -> 3H -> 236M into super, if you have enough bars. dont know if its more optimal, but i like doing it
You can actually incorporate Suisei's 236S' first activation in the middle of combos which I had fun experimenting with them
take for example if you catch someone with 246M
follow with 236H and trigger 236S while they're yeeted, giving time to react as they wall bounce back to you
another one is you can use an assist that sends opponent flying (I used Mio) while against a wall
After a 22M SC cancel into 236L into 236S then rapidly use 214S for Mio to keep the opponent bouncing to give you time to follow it right after
it's fun, I love my oshi in this game too
it's interesting that suisei's super doesnt scale well in combos. it's more of a two part with a special cancel and reversal.
Suisei has less combos but each hit is take a lot of damage.

Botan's ultimate herself is damn hard to hit
And the rest of her attack set there are none of them to knock up enemy for ultimate hit

I just can't get over Mukirose's Galactica Phantom
1est of all Botan combo is so insane secondly you can up slash again in Ayame after using the air special so it has one more hit before you hit the multiple press hit something and before using yodayo you can counite the combo by finishing the multi hit abilty and instead of using yodayo you can use the air special again and maybe do up slash again lol but all i know they will get invincibility if you try to go with the second up slash (sorry i dont remember the names of the ability's XD) (somehow i get attached to ayame rushdown mix up gameplay so i became an rushdown/mix up main instead of me zoning lol)
I have never watched Botan, but her combos being based on guns got me wanting to main her.

Nice combos, though there are longer combos from day 1-2 before the botan infinite and aki infinite patch. still nice combos post-nerf

just a decent short combo one...
With ayane i found it more damage efficient to do the 2S loop later in to the combo and 2H as an opener

And the absolute beast of a dev team included rollback netcode online multiplayer, not even Smash can manage that lol
sadly, most of suisei's abilities are pretty weak and situational. she also does very little damage in combos in comparison to most other characters because of how situational her arsenal is. you can go one match without using half of the attacks and playing footsies. with suisei's "evasive attack options" they don't really evade things. her 9M can dodge grounded options but that only works when the opponent doesn't know how to punish.

The game's pacing looks looks very slow with a lot of disjointed pauses during the combo that makes you think their finished.
