I’m pretty new to the west, I’m always amazed by the number people who just pick a meadow and toot away like louis armstrong. Or they actually do hear a bull and just expect it to zoom into them. When that succeeds, seems like the odds are HIGH that the bull is going to hang up and call bullshit because the hunter didn’t advance PAST their calling. Even a rutting elk is smart enough to go “there’s supposed to be an elk right there, I’m out.”
