July 2017 - For this trip to Israel, my wife and I rented an apartment in Tel Aviv, Israel, and used it as our base to explore the region. From the outside, the neighborhood and buildings look a little old and run down, but on the inside, the apartment that we rented was superb. It was spacious, perfectly laid out, and what I especially loved, and I think you will too, is the outdoor terrace / balcony. The weather was perfect in July, a little warm in the sun, but in the shade on the ends of the day on the balcony it was amazing to sit outside.
I hope you enjoyed this Tel Aviv apartment tour and that it gives you a glimpse into local living in Tel Aviv. I found Tel Aviv to be a very expensive city to live and travel in. I rented this apartment on Airbnb for $114 per night for a very short term stay, that's why it was expensive, but rent by the month can also be quite expensive in central Tel Aviv. In comparison to hotels in Tel Aviv though, for that amount of space, I found them to be quite expensive and in high demand as well.
My wife, son, and I had a great stay at this apartment in Tel Aviv!

Mark Abroad cant wait for it!!
Mark Abroad Sir are your videos in this channel and your main channel synced , I mean your this video is in israel , but you are somewhere else , How ?
Hey Dhruv, yes I will do my best to keep the videos on this channel and main channel synced in same location. But videos are usually a couple months behind real-time because it take me some time to organize and edit. But usually I post current updates on Instagram.
Mark Abroad maybe you can start putting date and day in your videos.
Hi Mark, I have sent you an email. Enjoy your time here!
I feel relaxed again while watching Mark’s videos. He’s a human version of positivity.
I truly love his videos especially where he'd just travel with his family around the world, his wife and son are so lucky.
The thing I like best about your videos is that you never say something really negative about anything. You're always trying to find positivity in everything. Well done man! Hope you have more success!
I live in Tel Aviv and my estimate will be that this apartment will cost about 1500$ per month for rent, and another 100-150$ for the bills.
Hope this help anyone who's interested :)
@Meyer Mica Tel Aviv is very expensive like London, NYC etc.
@B K the city? Tel Aviv is not pretty like a European city but it is the best place for city life in Israel, and has great beaches - that's why people are willing to pay the price
Hear Shir I have been thinking of coming to Israel. I am in USA. My social Security is below 800 a monthy. How is the rent in Be'er Sheva or Eliat? Where is the cheapest rent in Israel? my e-mail is jacon1760@yahoo.com
@@jima3995 dont go there it wont bee good idea.
Come to the north.
The climate is better, the region is really green, its closer to the center of the country, and its way better.
If you asking me nahriya or karmial, even kiryat ata.
@@jima3995 if you want some explanation or guiding im willing to help.
i live in israel all my life and i can tell you that living in tel aviv is one of most exspensive cities in here and in other cities you can find much beter houses and apartments for much cheeper. the reason that tel aviv is very exspensive is because the culture the beach and basicly the vibe of it. hope you enjoyed!
Zohan comes to mind lol.
"Touching the trees from your balcony" what a wonderful experience 😎
Hello, I'm a fan from Philippines and I'm working here in israel for four years now.. Im watching your food tour videos and I really enjoyed a lot.. Keep it up, and more food tour videos around the world. Good luck..
this guy's smile is infectious... he just smiles all the time.
Idk, looks desperate and sad to me. 🤷🏻♂️
So humble! I feel like I have too much stuff after seeing this. I will not buy any more than what I need from now on-no overload. God bless this couple.
It was very smart of you to include the quality of water, internet and even the electric plugs---those are important things that people may miss anticipating when traveling 👍🏼
Beautiful country, bible ground , God chosen people!
There are two types of electrical adaptors - one for heat, like hair dryers and one for electronics, like radios. Don't mis them up!
Micah becoming one of your team with his big eyes. An ideal rooftop terrace !!!
I visited Israel November, 2018, spent time in Tel Aviv, and also stayed in the Dan Hotel in Jerusalem. Visited other areas as well. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay.
I loved it PLEASE do more I cannot get enough of Israel. God bless you
Good Morning Mark & Ying baby Micah is to cute ! Excited to see what food you will eat next ☺ you always find nice cozy places to stay ,.
Thanks for the awesome video Mark! You will love your time in Tel-Aviv and Jerusalem, there are so many great foods to eat here. You got an amazing apartment in the best location possible. Enjoy!
My wife and I traveling to Israel in Dec 2019 cant wait to hit some of the small restaurants you visited.
Your son is so cute, he's just happy looking around!
It reminds me of the last apartment I used to live in here in Brazil. I love this style of homes so much, it's cozy and homely, more comfortable than fancier places (in my opinion).
Cool vlog, Mark!! Keep it up
One of my favorite cities in the entire world.
A rob city
בעז שריד shut up
Great, upbeat tour of a typical Tel Aviv apartment. He accepts little inconveniences like four flights of stairs, enjoys the apartment's no-fuss size, and really appreciates what makes living there special: the sweet open air, clean water, and living outdoors most of the year. Loved that he didn't make the place look super tidy and shiny like a hotel. A little clutter makes a house (even an Airbnb) a home, in my opinion. Good post!
This video is Amazing because the Father is holding his son so well,
I can't keep my eye off Mica..like literally XD
СПАСИБО,БЫЛА В ТЕЛЬ АВИВЕ,ОЧЕНЬ ХОРОШИЙ ГОРОД
ВСЕГДА РАДА НОВЫМ ДРУЗЬЯМ!💖💖💖
i live in TEL AVIV , and i loved your report !!
Micah is such a well-behaved baby. I haven't seen him crying/ being fussy in any of your videos. ^_^
So interesting to see how other people around the world live. I love these vlogs and getting to see such beautiful places I will never get to visit myself. ♥
my mom lived in a building like this since the 60's. Thank goodness she was able to move to a NEWER condo near the sea for her retirement!
Mark there is a button next to the staircase to turn on the lights in the building! Its the button that glows orange on the wall. It saves the energy, so you only turn it on when you need it
Mark, I just wanted to tell you that I really enjoy your videos of your apartments in the different places you and your family have been, I also really like the Food videos....Good job man....and Myka (Spelling?)......Is Awesome!!! :) Keep up the great work..

Welcome to Israel and to Tel Aviv - I just discovered your VLOG today >>> I like your Crabs and Kampot Pepper - though I don't understand why people insist on going and returning to PP in the same day .... keep up the good work !

Mark, Micah is growing up so fast!
Love these little intercontinental insights
Thank you Mark for the apt tours.
I should think of travelling again
Thanks for the updates. Even if I cannot go to these places it helps to have a good idea of what it is like. Do not change your format
Yes! This couldn't have come at a better time, I'm planning to visit Israel soon.
It's dark in the hall way because you have to push the red button on the wall when you walk through the front door. The lights will turn on for a few minutes so you don't have to walk to your flat in the dark. By not keeping the lights on 24/7, we save electricity.
Hi mark! I am so glad I subscribed to your channel. I find it veru amusing that there is so much quality in your videos, may it be with the different apartment tours or your food tour! I'm hooked already in watching your videos!
That outdoor terrace is amazing. It has so much use in Israel because it is warm most of the year. You can eat there, have tea, relax. I wish i had it here in NYC.
The tower was great to see in the different locations. Thanks
Just love your videos, wish I would have discovered them a long time ago but there's lots of locations to catch up on!!💜
Thank you for sharing about Tel Aviv. I had been considering visiting Israel.
I always laugh when I see Micah just hanging in his baby harness. 😂

I'll give you a tip
Don't buy your food in Tel Aviv (because it's really expensive there indeed)
Take 10 a minutes drive to Bat Yam, Holon, or any other city around Tel Aviv, and buy it there, in half price
L
I stayed in Bat Yam
Very beautiful sir ! Much love from AZ..🙏❤️
Tel Aviv seems to be popping up all over our CZcams at the moment! Really liking the look/sound of it and we both really want to visit one day. Nice looking apartment Mark. Being able to work outside looked brilliant! - Thomas
Thanks Thomas, it's a very lively and social city, to me it almost has a university campus feel!
Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel my partner is from Tel Aviv, she said it's such a great place to go visit. Can't wait to visit soon!
Amazing! Seriously every time I hear more info I just want to go more and more! Thanks Mark!
Chasing The Odd Shaped Ball - You should totally make a visit if your partner is from there! That would be so fun!
Chasing a Plate - Food and Travel Channel we are planning to go next year, it's a complicated story with many of her family members are Hasidic Jewish and being LGBTQ is very much frowned upon.
Rothschild st. is a great location in the city center, no wonder it cost you alot. But in general it is expersive to live in Israel
The apartments have a button in the hallways to turn on a light in the hallways. It works on a timer, like 2-3 minutes.
I love these! So helpful. Thanks! 😊
I have read that Tel Aviv does have a very desirable, sunny, Mediterranean type, climate! Beautiful!
The baby is so cute and I love your travel videos
Tel Aviv has nice apartments. I like the Apartment. Thank you for the tour.
OMG so happy that you came! im israeli and i LOVE your channel!
I leaving for Tel Aviv on November 16th for 6 months (maybe longer) I'm ex-military & I'm doing some work for the IDF (training) I live north of Boston. I hear nothing but great things about Tel Aviv. I'm 26 & single, so it appears the nightlife looks pretty exciting. Wonderful video! Thank you so much. Great job. I have an apartment near Carmel Market (Shuk Ha'Carmel) Should be a wonderful experience.
Such A Beautiful Family 💖
