Uplifting and Celebrating Your Cultural Community: Golden Conversations

The action of “culture” is to devote your work, time, service and self to improving and uplifting the community you call your own.
In this Golden Conversation, Associate Athletic Director of Inclusion and Championship Life Alonzo “AJ” Jones sits down with his son, Ahlias Jones, in front of the Student Pavilion on ASU’s Tempe campus. The two discuss the impact of making education accessible to all, celebrating Black culture, and the skill and discipline it takes to be a leader.
As the current president of the Black African Coalition, vice president of the new chapter of Alpha African Incorporated, president of the National Pan-Hellenic Council, and vice president of Black Education, Mentors and Club, Ahlias is a secondary education major who leads to inspire change in others.
