Is it me, or does it look the same as the ASE version?
unlike previous maps, it's more of a port then remake, there are even old UE leftovers in devkit
Wildcards answer to a new remake is use old map and stick thousands of trees everywere. Very disappointed with this map
bit diffrent but not satisfied diffrent the only change ive seen so far was the ugly new arena and the millions of trees and grass
Maybe 10-15% better. The caves look amazing though. Puzzle cave is my new favorite.

Omg 5:34 is my old base location 😢. Built there with my brother on Survival Evolved years ago. We got griefed and wiped but it's still one of my favorite memories ❤
I like the vid however, it's nice to hear you talk at least. I like to discuss my findings and hearing an opinion isn't all that bad. Just flying around and showing the locations without any commentary can get a little boring. It's nice to call out resources as well as possible base locations and maybe simple ideas for a base.

The magic has gone. It’s now just a one biome map and instead of making what could have been a wonderful potential into something mystical they just spammed it into oblivion…. Beige ugh.
I miss your commentary, it’s always been some of the best in ark utube but your choice does illustrate what I feel about this map now.

Would love to have your thoughts Steve! Where are the comments and honest feedback we all love? Well if you won't say it I will. The lava island looks like trash! The entire feel of the map is different and not in a good way. Just out of curiosity for the next vid can you tour the underworld see if the jumping puzzle is there alomg with the hiden ecosystem?
For all the modders they poached from the community, i'd have expected them to do a better job. Especially with Nekatus and other former modders saying how amazing and robust the UE5 engine is.
Yikes, this game and all of the content is absurdly rushed. I guess that's not surprising after they admitted they are struggling to learn UE5.

As much as I appreciate having these maps, I have some real criticisms. These maps all seem to be too similar in theme. which I think is down to brown rock colour, trees etc. With the centre I think I'm most disappointed with volcano island as it was barren for a really good reason: Magma filled volcano, pools of magma, and high temps. Why the heck does it have lots of green trees on it? In addition, the sea now feels smaller because the devs decided to put in extra island outcrops. Part of the charm was feeling like redwood was miles from everywhere else and volcano island miles from the shores leading to the ice cave. etc.

IMO: ASE looks better than ASA. Probably because the fact ASA’s ground where grass and sand is is just a flat nonchanging color. As if it was lazily created or simply just cannot render. Asa feels & looks visually cheap. I dunno. I’m mad. Was my favorite game since september of 2015 when the center was just a steam workshop mod back when annuaki genesis overhual still existed and then that extinction mod. Ugh. Those were the days. Oh what i would do just to experience that Peak time in arks history all over again. Fun fact. In the extinction mod, they had AI tribes running around of which you could later recruit to your tribe and have them do stuff like farm for you and stuff. Ark was genuinely a better place then. It is insane how much more has been lost in the game’s lifespan than what has progressed.

The Center was originally a fan-made map made with love, but Wildcard just ruined it.
Question: Did they take out the jumping puzzle or fix the spawn rates in the Swamp Cave?

Gorgeous looking map. However, after my 12.000 hours of playing, i find the game deeply flawed... It's practically unplayable without QoL mods, it requires other players to make it enjoyable, the breeding system is utter crap and it's a huge time sink due to the difficulty being all over the place.
I have noticed my usual metal farming spots are totally from ase messed up and the metal nodes are actually totally not even spawning in the original places on the center as they used to in ase. Specifically that land bridge in lower jungle spawn area where the river outlet is across the water from blue obelisk. It’s no longer dino accessable cause the rocks are blocking it off and the metal nods that used to spawn there simply don’t exist in this version. It’s so dumb. They can’t even get the reskin of a classic map correct let alone give good news without ruining the news with horribly money hungry news aka here is the best map in the game we have delayed for over a year and by the way buy this pay to win sabertooth that is literally a shoulder mounted fire wyvern and it’s ridable. It’s absolutely obvious & disgusting. :(

The repeating pattern you see on cliffs can see it on the skull I also thought ugly. Map is unfinished even after the extra delay
The 1st video you have not spoken through other than intro :-( very disappointing. Would have thought/ hoped as you haven't played on this map properly you would give it a proper go. Your taming video of the 💩itself was very in depth and informative as is all your others, but this one seemed like next to no effort at all :-( You are much better than that. I just hope your not off your rocker, maybe your recording equipment, pc is acting up. I know you deserve a break from ark as you have been doing it for near a decade, but please...
