It was upsetting dropping out the UEL because I hate losing, but I'm over it because our season isn't over yet. That one was on Arteta, but it's something he can improve because last season his in game subs were horrible, and he's improved that this season, now he has to understand and master the art of rotation, which hopefully also takes him a couple of months and couple more quality players in the squad.
It's the fact we're moving in such a positive direction that makes missing out even more disappointing

This arsenal team has proven to be learning from their mistakes/downfalls (think of a year ago when we “capitulated” fourth place. We came back stronger and more consistent and aren’t looking like a fumble, whatever happens from now to the end.
I was disappointed that we went out, but then I sat back and enjoyed the clear desperation in the reaction from rival fans in their vicarious celebrations of Arsenal going out. These people are frightened that Arsenal’s banter era is over. For almost 2 decades, odds were that if any of our rivals fans had a frustrating weekend, all they had to do was check Arsenal and probably have a laugh because the Gunners likely dropped points to an inferior opponent or lost embarrassingly to a Top 6 rival. It’s very much appears to be ending and they’re frightened about the sleeping giant waking up.

The loss n being out always hurts. It hurts every team. It's OK for us to admit it, but tbh I was disappointed because we have played so well together this year, and it felt like last night we didn't carry that energy, the missed 5 yard passes and the flicks in the penalty area to nobody shows we were out of sync, let's put our energy into the next game. I have to say also that the crowd could have done more, I defo heard them there's no doubt, but last night when we play like that - is when they need us to be loud and raising confidence for almost the entire game

I was not even mad after the game because deep down I knew I just did not give a blind F about going out. Premier League is the aim for us especially considering our squad depth or the lack thereof. I feel the realistic fan base, is still level headed. Yea, it sucks to lose, you want to win but lets be honest with the preseason expectations. The ones that are bothered had their goals shifted mid season. I still find that getting to this point in this tournament was alright and where we are in the table is miles above where people thought we'd be, even ourselves. So we can even say, that achievement alone can easily offset the UEL loss. Seeing as the main goal was to qualify for UCL. "Please at least get 4th". We are ahead of schedule. So again, I am disappointed, but I'm not tremendously bothered. My only fear is this being a confidence thing in the wrong direction. Hopefully its more of a boost, a quick reality check and players really step up to finish this out.

Don't get me wrong I cared but at this point, there are bigger things to lose so I don't want to look back and cry over spilled milk. At the end of the day though, Arteta didn't fuck up with subs cause 3/5 of our subs were used for injuries and precautions and the two subs he brought in (Saka and Partey) did give us back control of the game. As shaky as we were in the second half, people have to realize that we conceded to a brilliant piece of individual effort from the unlikeliest of places. Yes, they all count the same but as a manager nothing changes those types of outcomes from happening.

The truth is terri we did not take this cup very serious. United play their strongest team every europa game, we rested half of our squad both games. sporting did not beat arsenals first 11 and barely got a draw against a second strain team. Its a disappointment yes but with 11 games to go, honestly I dont want our main players slugging it out against juve for 2 legs. If we started partey odegaard trossard jesus saka and that happened I would be worried and upset. 11 finals to go with minimal risk of injuries while city have to go slug it away in germany and possibly madrid and lets not forget the Fa cup.
