The "Kaweco Eco Leather Pouch Black Long for 1 Pen", is a similar sized sleeve (fits my 146 and 1912), with excellent quality at about 1/3 of the price of the MB.
Perfect timing I am debating between the pen sleeve and the two other cases ( the zipper and pouch) for my heritage 1912. I have already purchased the pen sleeve and my pen fits in it but it is a very tight fit. What case would you recommend, stick with the pen sleeve or upgrade to one of the other two mentioned? And awesome videos as always!
Usage does not break it in, in the sense that it will stretch a heck of a lot. The Siena Pen Pouch might be a better fit for a Heritage 1912. Another option would be the Staedler Initium Black Leather pen case. It's a good looking and supple case, and priced at around 15 euro. www.staedtler.com/premium/Case-Leather-Initium-Resina-Black
Hi there! Are you sure that is genuine? I heard that sleeve should bear the "made in germany" logo at the back, right below the MONT BLANC one. Also just saw a guy selling one exactly like that which said "made in germany" too. Would it make sense to say this one has a lower quality?
Gerard Zonjee Thanks. I just bought one that does not have the white label with the hologram inside. Is it 100% fake? It was an online deal but seller assured me it was genuine. I noticed the lining inside the pouch has a few mont blanc logos but again, no label or hologram.
Hard to say, based on the information given. To say the least it is suspicious... An inner jacquard lining however is a good thing as the knockoff's I have seen just don't have any lining at all.
I was never able to find a sleeve that was able to fit the 149. My 149 therefore sits in a Siena Pen Pouch. A more bulky solution compared to a sleeve, but it works for me.

@@lilwurstbrot8545 This 'two-pen Meisterstück case' you are talking about is basicly the Siena Pen Pouch doubled up, right? Well, the Siena Pen Pouch is extremely roomy and would fit the 149 and a 146 combo no problem.
I bought what is supposedly the same pen sleeve as yours in Munich yesterday. Both share the same model no. 101871. But unlike your pen sleeve, the wordings “Made in Germany” were embossed on the back of my pen sleeve. Also, my pen sleeve comes with a mismatched Leather Collection - Meisterstuck - Montblanc” paper card, which states that my pen sleeve was made in Italy and made of “full-grain cowhide” (yours should be the correct one). I dun know why there is a mismatch in my case. But I am sure that mine is also authentic, coz I bought it from a Montblanc boutique. Hahaha
@@scdonald2009 That is really odd. Tripple check, it might be tucked under. Also, it might be interesting to find out what the boutique says about a label not being there. Could there be versions pre "we add this hologrammed tag to prove authenticity' that Montblanc produced years ago, and a very old model happened to be laying in that store in Munich?
+Dr. Sukrit Bajpai : I might have mentioned the hefty price point, but that does not take away from the fact it is a very nice sleeve indeed. It is still going strong here, so, from an experience point of view: you're set for at least the next four years ;)

It was sold at a Mont Blanc boutique, and has the washing label with rather hard to fake hologram. Yes, it is a genuine product.

Yes it will fit tour 146. As for buying... hard for me too make that decision for you. Why not try it in a shop?

Mine has no washing label either.
My dust bag has a cotton string at the opening, which is also different from yours.
But I have no idea which one is an older stock
