    All these dermatologists are trained to adhere strictly to insurance guidelines, otherwise they can't practice with their diplomas! They wait until these young people have serious scars to treat them appropriately. This is outrageous and must be stopped!

    What precautions one need to follow while on this medication?

    • @DoctorpediaYT

      There are many but some of them are : Most importantly is to not get pregnant as this medication causes birth defects. Next, do not supplement any Vitamin A in your diet as you are already getting a massive dose with Accutane. Also, please do not consume any medications, herbal supplements, alcohol/drugs, or performance enhancing supplements that are processed by the liver as the liver is working harder due to being on Accutane. Stay out of the sun as you will be more sensitive to the sun. Do not get elective procedures done as you will scar easier (this includes tattoos or piercings) while on the medication and for 6 months after your last pill. Don't share your pills with anyone. Let your doctor know if you have any new/unusual side effects.
      There are others but this will help with some of the basics.

    • @DoctorpediaYT
      @DoctorpediaYT  Před 3 lety

      Not in the USA. I am not sure about other countries but it is strictly regulated in the USA and so I am guessing that other countries require a prescription from a medical provider.
