SEPHOORAAAAA... & DARN i don't get the "beast mode" thing AT ALL :( .. i got it as a strong statement fragrance for night meetings/presentations etc.. but it only lasts like 3 hours max.. with moderate projection!!!! ... p.s. it's 5-2017 batch... should i say "reformulation"?!! :((((

What an amazing fragrance. I was bit sceptical about this fragrance due the bad opinion by a very famous fragrance reviewer from Germany. But recently I had a chance to put my nose on this juice,immediately brought this heavenly fragrance.

I tested both dior homme parfum and Prada l'homme 3x because everyone talks about it. I'm trying to start a small collection. To me both perfumes smell like old books or paper in a old library. I was so disapointed about the smell of these two perfumes, so I decided to test this with my wife and two other friends on a different day. I wanted an objective verdict about the smell so I didn't tell them anything how I dislike these. They smelled it and I asked how it smell to them. My wife said old paper and books. My friend mentioned leather and the other friend described it as old furniture. Me and my with and two friends had almost similar experience about the smell. What s wrong with us? Is this supposed to smell like old books/wood furniture/ leather lol.. About prada phone the opening smelled the same as Dior Homme Parfum. I don't get any fresh clean linnen smell from it. It smelled again like old books in an old library. Now I'm hesitate to buy these 2 hyped fragrances, can it just be a hype/placebo to many people? Our noses are bad or maybe we just don't like this smell? Someone help me out lol.
personally for me dior homme intense is much better than the other ones but that's just my personal opinion. For me too much leather in parfum version.
Great take Steven. I personally love DHI, and this one just didn't do it for me. I didn't think the leather that they tried to throw in there meshed well with the Dior Homme base. Looking forward to that Interlude video!

The only Dior Homme that I have, I don't like the others, one is too feminine, the other is to light and fresh, the other is just ok and not even mentioned the reformulations but this one, Holy Cannoli, This is a elegant beast, its refined beautiful and unique in terms of the leather note, theres another one that its very close behind this Gem which is Lonesome Rider by Tauer Perfumes, if you like this one, please check this one out, You will remember this statement. I got this bottle on a blindbuy for 130£ when it was released, from Spain. I remember having to call several stores and it was completely sold out everywhere, and Ebay prices were crazy. I was very disappointed in the scent when the bottled arrived but i decided to give it a shot anyway. And now it's one of the favorite scents in my collection, and it smells highly unique, like nothing else i have. It's longevity and projection is total beastmode on steroids, and even after a shower, this fragrance will stick to my wrists like glue, even when i scrub down hard... it's insane. I am NOT looking forward to when i have to buy another bottle of this. Would recommend not blindbuying it tho.
Another reviewer got me intrigued enough to get this. At first I thought it might be too intense to wear to the office but I did just one discreet spray to the chest and it didn't prove to be too much, but I did that only once. I'll wear it again during the evenings of the cooler months here in California. Glad you reviewed it!

OK, so I'm just now over a year into my fragrance journey. From day 1 I have always heard about "Dior Homme Parfum" again and again. When I finally purchased an "Homme" I just went with the Intense. Honestly, I didn't like and still don't care much for it. So months later I buy a silver stem sample of Dior Homme. Ehhh, it was better, but still don't quite care for it. Finally, I buy a sample of the true legend, Dior Homme Parfum. OMG, this is so much better than the others, but it's still very similar to them. Why do I like this one so much and not the others when they smell so similar? There's just something about this one, perhaps the leather, that just mixes so well with the iris. Now I see why everyone raves about this so highly.... Oh CRAP!!! Now I have to find a bottle thats going to cost me an arm and a leg lol

Both are great! This one has more of a leathery presence, and Intense is more about the sweetness of the ambrette with a more prominent iris. I like both!
Between your review and Carlos´reaction to this, I am extremely sad I don´t live in Europe to get this and try it... I´ll have to see if I get a split sample from somewhere before I actually do buy a full bottle.... you never know how it might work on you skin, right? Kudos Steven!!! 'on the money' when you said, it's the most sensual of the Dior line. But I'm torn between Intense and Parfum, since both smell great with their characteristic scent. I also use dior Homme Parfum for the summer, but the secret is take 1-2 spritzes + dior homme 2020 add 2 spritzes then you can easily wear it and that also in summer! and yes the quality is the king of scents I perfumed myself in the elevator in the morning and in the evening the scent was so strong in the elevator that I briefly thought who has such a good scent here 😂 yes, the king of scents 😉

I saw another reviewer mention that this perfume can easily last 18 hours or more but you mentioned you get about 8 hours or so. The variance is very wide and just wanted to get your feedback on this
That's interesting. I'm sure many factors may be applied including oily/dry skin, the weather, if the fragrance is being sprayed on a high-contact area, etc.

This stays on my skin for more than a full day and projection goes for ever, I smell it on my skin next day. You might have a bad one here.

intense smells nice this one smells very nice. it also has even better performance. it is great for cooler weather not for hot days. it garners compliments also. i love it.

a lot people claim that DHP 2019 batch was reformulated already cause that performance are very poor if compare batch 2014 to 2017 .. is that true ??

Just curious what year is your bottle?
I saw another reviewer mention that this perfume can easily last 18 hours or more but you mentioned you get about 8 hours or so. The variance is very wide and just wanted to get your feedback on this
That's interesting. I'm sure many factors may be applied including oily/dry skin, the weather, if the fragrance is being sprayed on a high-contact area, etc.
