Everyone tried to say he fell off, lost it and should retire after Revival. That just pissed him off. This wasn’t a diss track but a diss album. No promo or mention and still the #1 album everywhere. He wants lyrics back in hip hop and proved you can put lyrics on your favorite rappers beats and it can still be great but he threw disses everywhere and was just pissed off and giving you all what you asked for- Shady’s Back. Kamikaze 2 is in the works. This was the ultimate f*** you to everyone who talked shit about him and Revival.
I'm glad people said it was trash then. It lit a fire under his ass, he needed it cause on Revival he focused solely on bars and forgot about production and delivery :)

crazyassmofo72 lkl I said the same thing as far as pissing him off with the critique of Revival so we got Kamikaze but I personally like Revival. If you’ve ever listened to Beastie Boys, Run DMC, 80’s and 90’s rap you would understand Revival. The name describes the album. He’s reviving that old hip hop sound. It’s my era so I love it, but everyone was asking for the Old Em/Slim Shady. Then he drops Kamikaze which is straight Shady and a lot of people are still criticizing. But remember, this is a diss album, hence no promo. When people drop diss records they don’t announce it. Em even mixed in a little Revival on this if you listen. This album was to show he hasn’t and will never fall off.
never thought he fell off, and i like 80s and 90s hip hop but sorry i don't agree with your statement, all i hear in revival is Em trying to reach the widest possible audience by combining pop with heavy bars and great lyricism but it didn't work at all imo. and he knows Revival could have been better, he gets the critiques to a certain extent. what he's pissed about is the fact that people dismissed it quickly without diving into the lyrics, which is understandable

Brigitte Claudette you’re close minded I listen to all of it underground tech n9ne, Rittz/ popular gunna, the migos, drake, lil baby/ 90s Tupac, Biggie, Bone Thugz but like Em is not the greatest of all time neither is this album, pac definitely holds both, open minded people will listen to all and appreciate the individual aspects, gunna and baby will always have better vocals than eminem or even Tupac despite the emotions Tupac’s lyrics invoke and the cleverness behind Ems, you have to calm down not everybody will like everything personally I only liked like 2 songs on this album, but I appreciate every song due to the lyrical greatness but listen to big shot by gunna and tell me his vibe and feeling that he gives you in not captivating, there’s a lot of different rap made for different reasons, just appreciate rap itself, I would rather listen to gunna than em despite my acceptance that ems lyrics are miles above gunnas, lyrics are a lot but they are not everything and if you actually take this seriously and you want to try a transition to open mindedness listen to father of 4 by offset maybe that can help because he’s a “mumble rapper” but that ain’t mumble

Just wanted to say bros, the whole reaction video was okay in itself. But Ya'll saying "Normal" was trash and about the flow, and this & that. IT WAS A TYPICAL SONG FOR A GIRL by Eminem! Haha just kinda urked me the fact ya'll didn't mention anything about it being a song about a messed up relationship. Eminem or should I say Marshall Mathers on that song. This review was a bit dry compared to like, Revival's review & ya'll went nuts over that one 🤔ya'll need to go back & listen again, or maybe ya'll into that new wave he dissed too much. But Hip Hop heads and yes, Eminem fans are happy asf right now, we just need that MGK clap back.

Bro I totally understand where these guys are coming from. All you people talking shit in the comments aren’t really paying attention, these guys even said in the video that they don’t like this new era of hip hop at its core but appreciate the direction it’s taking on the industry. You can clearly tell that these guys (especially the guy on the left) are die hard em fans and are just frustrated on how em seems to be “catering” or at least attempting to sound like these new gen rappers on this album. What they fail to understand is that em is just simply mocking this style (like the drake flow he did on normal & the lil pump one later). I think it’s best to look at this album as one personal to em as he just wants to be heard out and he’s obviously just pissed off and is letting it show. Tbh I don’t think I’ll be hearing this album compared to his others cause I kind of find it too corny (when he is mocking other’s flow) and its centered around current feelings. That being said, his flow and lyrics when he did go off like in lucky you and venom were just amazing and he will forever be the goat in my eyes. I just don’t think this was an official Eminem album but one made (arguably forced out of him) by the public.

Lots of things make a rapper talented - a unique perspective, story-telling ability, witty wordplay, complex and diverse rhyme schemes, cadence, bar structure, vulnerability, bravado and punch lines, humor, hyperbole, unique metaphors and similes, melody, song structure, and even song placement on the project. Eminem has it all and shows off his full arsenal on this Kamikaze album. In my opinion, Kamikaze is Eminem reminding everyone how good he is and how easy he makes it seem. It's hard for me to identify other Rappers who are in the same realm as Eminem - he's obsessed with the craft and it shows in his ability. This album is a new classic and refreshing change from the mumble rap so many of us are tired of hearing.

Shoutout to the guy in the backseat. I can sort of see the 'conflict' between modern hip-hop (passenger seat, mad at Em dissing lean) and old school lyrical hip-hop (back seat).
