Manipulation Of Tragedy is an absolut fucking banger, and if you are into drums, man are you in for a fucking treat, he does npt hold back on that one!

@@aboortedlastname9279 I only bought against because Jason newsted was on a track. After a few months I threw it away. I just couldn't deal with it. Tried again for each album, and after a few years or so,...just gave up on the new sepultura altogether. Classic is always best. Cavalera bros. Are winding up their beneath arise tour right now. Went to their Portland, Or stop, and holy...hell. they pulled off the classics so damn well. It may have been the best show I've ever been to. And I've been to a lot.

Could not agree more! I was 13 years old in 1993 and these albums have stayed with me my whole life, the other band that stood out for me was Fear Factory too. Soul of a new machine from '92 I think it was, but I only heard it in 93. Great memories from all these bands. Still listening to all these albums today 😁

Iggor was one of my main influences back in the early 90's - he's easily up there with the best of them. To be perfectly honest, I'm surprised a drum teacher only discovered him in 2020, but good to see you're broadening your horizons dude.
You mention it being a workout - I remember being deputy stage manager at a festival about a decade ago and Igor nearly fainted at the end of the set, he was exhausted! Truly a drummer who puts his all into his playing! (nice bloke too!)

Funny you mention Eloy.......Max(guitar, vox) and Igor(drums) are brothers and started the band Sepultura. Eloy plays for Sepultura currently. Internal issues split the pair, eventually their hatchet being buried amounted to Cavalera Conspiracy being formed.

Sepultura was my favourite band at my childhood, and wow, it was almost 30 years now. I am happy Iggor is still in such a good shape, I think I would get a heart attack after such workout :-)
Iggor is a legendary drummer in my eyes, and though since then I listened to several great metal albums, very few drummer was up to his flexible and powerful drumming.
(Battlecross (Push Pull Destroy) and some Amon Amarth songs (eg. Destroyer of Universe) and Arch Enemy songs comes into my mind)
Max and Igor cavalera formed sepultura in 84. This song was written and released by sepultura in 93. Max has since gone off to form soulfly and cavalera conspiracy.
And it’s a sepultura song.

The brazilian drummer Iggor Cavalera, ex-Sepultura, remains one of the best drummers in the world, in my opinion. The other is Eloy Casagrande, also brazilian, currently from the brazilian band Sepultura. Holy crap. The guys are very good!

Wonder how many "Sepultura's oldest albums are their best," comments there's gonna be. They didn't find their own identity until Arise. Before that, they were just mimicing the sound they loved from other bands.

I don't remember so many bands doing Black metal in 1986 as it influenced both Tampa death metal
And Second Wave Norway BM ...

I mean Troop of dooms , Mayhem , Empire of damned ...
And the seminal drumming is interesting with unique fills ..it was also already tribal .
My favorite is Schizophrenia , its improving monster but still dark and evil sounding ..

Great video, love to see Igor play! It's cool Igor (born 1970) reminds you of Eloy (born 1991). Igor was the original drummer of Sepultura and played on 11 albums, he must have been a major influence on Eloy. Also Bulls on Parade by RATM came out in 1996, Territory came out in 1993. I have no doubt that the guys from RATM knew this song.

Have a look at Jeremy colson who plays drums for Steve vai, have a look at his great performance in NOW WE RUN ((SteveVaiHimself), it's not a Neil peart size drum kit, but he can certainly play it, don't forget to have a look at one of niel pearts final shorter solo performances in the middle section of "WHERES MY THING, HERE IT IS", live in Dallas. January 7th, it will be a year since we lost Neil. Best wishes from the cold but sunny north east coast of England.

the hands up made me laugh.... of course this is actually a Sepultura song from Chaos AD released in 1993. so for the time the drumming was so much more tribal than most (if any) metal bands were doing, it is much more commonplace now, I remember when this premiered on Head Bangers Ball and we were all just blown away....

Ok my friend. You need to know a little bit more about those musics you pick to react. Igor and Max started Sepultura in 1984, they are from acctually my home town in Brazil "Belo Horizonte". Layer Max left the band and some 10 years later Igor left the band. Eloy is the current drummer from the actual formation of Sepultura.

I have been a Sepultura fan since the early 90s, Igor isnt the most tecnickal drummer out there. But his way and his feeling is so inspirational for me.
The studio version (obviously) will give you a better grasp of how good he his. Sepultura Chaos A.D.

Igor is the real deal though, the weight and attitude he put into his drumming is just amazing, especially in the 90s in the Chaos A.D. and Roots era! And Eloy is doing a reeeally good job at keeping that fire going!

He was considered top of the best of his time and killed himself because he felt that after that he could not fulfill his Death Metal needs. Please consider. He left a wife and family and was universally considered
