I think it’s Champion, or “Legend” as their other name. You can also notice it’s also harder than Powerhouse, which is why Poofesure is having such a hard time. In other words, the Miis keep their difficulty no matter what difficulty you put for the CPU.
My theory is that all difficulties get harder by going on legend miis, meaning you end up on 3 new difficulties this way. Cause they behaved easier on normal legend compared to powerhouse legend

I tried the Badminton strategy with Sakura where I did a drop shot when I didn’t hit the yellow speed, or when she did a drop shot and then I did one back, which would normally cause the Powerhouse CPUs to barely hit it, which would help me smash it. Sakura never did that, she still managed to normally hit the Badminton, so this was hard for me. However, with those strategies, I ended up beating her 7-6, and it was really painful. And it was on Normal difficulty.

I played against them again, but I left the difficulty on Normal because it was faster, and I lost 5-7. And guess what? Sometimes when they serve the Volleyball, the speed color is literally pink, and the ball is FASTER too. It’s like a flat serve. It’s really not like Powerhouse where my best is 5-0. They’re actually pretty tough, especially since I never lost a match of Volleyball until that point.

So they are bound to be the best no matter the difficulty, is like they have their own difficulty, you just up it or minimize it a bit

The difficulty is because they are ALWAYS LEGEND DIFFICULTY! They don't change no matter what you set the difficulty at because you're using the cheat code
So, Poof, in terms of the difficulty, (someone correct me if I'm wrong please) basically, when it says "legend" above their names, that IS the difficulty setting. The difficulty setting you pick before hand doesn't matter as long as you do the thing to make the opponents the og champion miis. It's basically a secret difficulty setting that's harder than powerhouse.

I don't know if he knows this but if you want to force a wobble strike in badminton, it's useful to go for the drop shot by holding ZR. Even if you don't get the wobble, your opponent will have to still swing upward (green swing), meaning you can do orange swings more often
