This fight is not possible. I just beat him by getting it down to 1x and then getting it all to the black and after he's supposed to die it detonates and kills all 4 of your units. I think you have to do something else. Also, after each attempt his health resets, it claims in the instructions you are allotted so many chances. So, I'll bet this fight is bugged for some people.
Ok, for some reason it just started working. The monsters health didn't reset and stayed cumulative with each attempt and I was able to beat the fight twice. Could it have been bugged? This is just weird it just started suddenly working. Just wow. Maybe something wasn't hitting the first few tries.
Actually, We just need to survive for 30 turns and the boss health will stay reduced. That's why we need AOE to basically change that tentacle buff into debuff and reduce it's damage
i love that they promised us another ML at the end of the previous year and just left it at that, an empty promise lmao. Or maybe i misunderstood and they meant to promise new ML unit. Either way hope we get new 100 days ml 5* event to choose from whole roster and another free ml 5* to work on from the theatre. Also we need more skin tickets or every month or so run like a discount for 2 skins to be half the price so that i can grab two epics i missed instead of getting like one

You only need 105% eff on your debuffer in pve since there is always 15%, it count like this:
Boss res - 15% = the eff need to land denuff
Oh yeah. Just checked the guide again lol
