Chaeto QT Tank: Keeping the pest out! RSR365XXL Setup Continues!!

This is the process I go through when getting new chaeto or macro algae. I try my best to quarantine them to ensure that they are pest free before introducing them to my main display.
Here's my process:
1. Clean the heater, pump, hang-on filter with vinegar before setting up.
2. Fill it up with display tank water.
3. Put in the Chaeto
4. Feed the tank daily with some flake food
5. Watch daily for any unwanted pest

This bunch of chaeto has been running for a few months now and they seem to look good except I did notice some flatworm. I do have flatworm exit but decided not to use it. I took a lot (or few) strands and ran them through hot and cold water while rubbing each strand to ensure it's free of unwanted pest. This process took very long but I wanted to make sure I was not introducing something bad into my new tank setup.
Before introducing a small amount of this chaeto to my display tank, I ran each strand through hot and cold water to try and kill off all unwanted pest. I rubbed up and down each strand to ensure that it's clean while dipping them in hot and cold water. This is a lenghty process but it worked well for me the last time around.
