One thing I like about Nincada's evolutions is that even if it's described as a branched evolution, you get both Ninjask and Shedinja from just a single Nincada. Ninjask is the actual evolution, while Shedinja is the byproduct of the evolution.

Technically Meowth can only evolve into one thing.
Regular Meowth and Alolan Meowth can only evolve into their respective Persian, not Perrserker. Meanwhile, Galarian Meowth can only evolve into Perrserker, not Persian. Yamask has this as well with Cofagrigus and Runerigus.
