The central theme of the novel Parizaad is about Parizaad yearning for true love and not finding it in the ways of the world primarily because he suffered a lot in an atmosphere where his looks were mocked and his self esteem was battered. It seemed to Hassan that Parizaad's dialogue was a little remote to the circumstances when he said "mujhe maarne ke baad meri laash ko mashk kar dijiye ga" because the drama and its screenplay has been changed. Had they gone line by line with the novel, that pathos of low self esteem was evident every single time. But for screenplay they added characters- There was no Saeeda, no Bubbly Badmaash and no Maahi in the novel. Because of Parizaad's interactions with these newly added characters, we saw mellow yet fierce shades of him, thereby subsiding the constant horror of taunts. So that added a different extra layer. Otherwise, at the end of the day, Parizaad is a giver only, wholeheartedly ! But his self esteem keeps dwindling constantly because of his looks. He gives a lot and returns with little or nothing. But that does not change his core.

Well said Malak. I also wish they had shown the part where Parizaad is captured and tortured to establish his allegiance to Behroz. Then the whole trusting a new person blindly and letting him go would have made more sense. I thought that torture sequence in the novel was a crucial part missing from the Behroz story

Parizaad: When he was asked why he took the blame on himself, he replied that he couldn't see Behroz and his wife being humiliated in front of the guards and everyone. I think this was a very important part that could have really impressed Behroz Kareem.

Parizad: “ Mae tu sari zindagi kisi ka Raqeeb bhi na ban saka”. As Parizad, AAA’s eyes looked barren, yearning for love. His internal emptiness was visible on his face. AAA has been consistently phenomenal in portraying a man who doesn’t consider himself worthy of being loved by a woman. Again, he showed brilliant expressions of guilt, fear and surprise at sudden betrayal by Laila, in the scene where Behroze caught them. Story, direction , acting all is top notch. Waiting for Yumna, although wanted so see more of Urwa. It was also refreshing to see a policewoman, as a smart, diligent officer.

The real trouble with ppl of below average looks with high character traits is that ppl trust you, appreciate your characteristics but they never own you beyond that. All the praises you got is for what you do for people not for what you are. And the ppl like parizaad have deep observation, soft heart and emotional intelligence they easily get this message that they are being appreciated for what they are doing for others and not for what who they are. This feeling constantly pinches and hurts self esteem in one hand and on other hand it strengthens their good character traits. Generally such ppl are able to laugh at their own looks along with others, but at low times they feel sad, and, low esteemed about their looks. For me it is very easy to feel every move of parizaad. So confident in romance with naheed in dream but he knows in reality he is not able to get a raqeeb even.

I think the reason Behroz saved Parizad is because he's gonna pin the murder of the ambassador's son on him and that's y he also appreciated his loyalty because he thinks that it'll be easy to pin it on him and he won't argue, won't have an alibi and stuff and he's been "missing" for two months. I think that'll lead to some big things in the story. And before u ask, no, I haven't read the novel, just speculating. Nasaaz was the first person (other than his sister) who tried to give him confidence. But Nasaaz only focussed on Parizaads writing and his words. So Parizaad took that input and blossomed. He felt that even if he doesn't have looks, he has his words. And off he went to university. Then when the Lubna thing happened, his confidence took another blow because he realized that his one and only asset (according to his low self esteem) also meant nothing. If he didn't have looks, he needed to have money to be special. And so it continues on...

I think Behroze saw the betrayed look in Parizaads eyes (amazing acting) and was fascinated with him taking the blame despite that. He kept Parizaad alive to find out why. Then when Parizaad told him (and he has such an honest way about him that I can see how Behroze believes him) that he didn't deny her accusation out of fear of humiliating Behroze - I think this really touches Behroze. I found this convincing because the guy that Parizaad is and where he is from - protecting honor is really important to him (even in the case of Nahid). Hence he took the blame. But interestingly he didn't realize that at the height of wealth and power that Behroze is at - he doesn't see him employees as equals or even as people to bother about protecting his honor in front of them. I actually loved this episode for such little details and amazing writing. Although the "ghair mamuli" slip up realllllly bothered me lol

About Parizaad let me tell you one thing about insecurity. When one person is insecure about something, no matter what people say. No matter what realistically seems right or wrong - you will be insecure about it. I think the message of the drama is the fact that the looks doesn't matter. Anything that happens to Parizaad isn't because of his looks. But because Parizaad is extremely insecure, his actions and reactions WILL be revolving around the insecurity. Hasan in parizad his appearance is a constant mention in terms of the fact that everyone that he comes across doesn’t take him seriously as a person/ student or a threat because he’s not your typical good looking man. People attitude towards him constantly reminds him that he’s not as good looking as the average male.

Nauman Ejaz, you are a gem, how well you conform to the role, any role and what a fluid performance in Parizaad! MashaAllah. The scenes with Nauman and Ahmed came alive with the tears and unspoken grief, the chilling murder, meaningful dialogs and the powerful direction. Hope Parizaad will now meet an/some inspiring-enough friend/s who will make him rethink his inferiority complex and he finally learns to see himself as more instead of less. ♡

The beauty of Parizaad is not only in the obviously excellent things it’s in the minor details also. Like the steam rising from The tea mug Behroz was holding. can’t say how many times I get annoyed at the obviously empty cups of tea in dramas lol or the red mark of the injury on the back of Parizaads head instead of the standard bandage thats shown in every drama. How many of you noticed the red wound mark on the back of his head!!

Though over time when those who are not shallow as human beings start valuing him for his qualities ,If Malik is who he is being portrayed then obviously he is a better judge of people than a regular person.may be he liked the fact that patizad didn’t betray Layla Saba whom Malik loved so dearly. Malik said Paizad was nayab because he protected his honor in front of everyone

Behroze knew already that parizad is being used by laila and when he became so selfless that he took all her blame on himself and delivered that *maskh krdena* dialogue, might have ignited pity for pari in the eyes of BK. Pari was not a traitor because he was doing all this out of empathy and kindess, not for money. Moreover, parizad has been rediculed his whole life because of his overall personality which is contrary to his name and this thing has embedded into him thus the dialogue was justified. He yearns for love and in search of that (after lubna's mother advice), he was trying to earn money so maybe someone would fall in love with him by ignoring his looks but now BK track has made him learn that you can have all that money and still don't get the love. This was the whole lesson that was supposed to deliver through BK and Laila track.

  • @rahemeen1663
    @rahemeen1663 Před 2 lety +2

    Hassan and Aamna!
The ugly face is an integral part of the show throughout and in today's episode also as it is shown that first with Naheed it was about THE UGLY FACE. Then with the Mahal and Natty scene he learnt that it is not the face that matters for the world actually it is the money. The reference was there in differentiating between face and money. Natty also says that when a person has money, FACE is not considered important and love will come along. Now in the recent episode, he will realise that money is not important as Behroz Kareem was handsome and rich but what did Laila do with him betrayed though he loved her but Laila betrayed because he was expressing love by luxury not emotionally by spending time with her etc. basically it is that money and face both doesn't matter, it is the love.
AND IT'S MY PREDICTION THAT #YumnaZaidi character will be a blind girl and will see his heart and words and fall in love. AND will live happily after!!!!!!!!!

Parizaad - Hassan, it was believable why Noman Ali's character did decide against killing Parizaad. A whole scene was dedicated to it. Parizaad asks Noman Ali's characters why didn't he kill him and he replies and justifies by saying - you had already surrendered yourself to be killed and there is no point in killing someone who has no fear of being killed.
Secondly, very important to recognise that the experience that a person witnesses from childhood to their young age and beyond. It becomes a strong part of their personality. Parizaad has experienced it and still experiences it. It is not implicitly shown in the drama but remains intact. For instance: in the dialogue where it says "Nazar watto". So, the point is that although he is an intelligent man, the experiences he had to date dictates his thought process and will keep directing him. There is a body of research on this topic that I can refer you to study and consult. :)

And when Fawad said that he can not go to Karachi he did not say that he can't go there because Malik Sahab lives there. He said he can't go there because he has an apartment there and Malik Sahab knows about it so he will definitely search for him in Karachi.

    53:49.
In Parizaad, Nouman Ijaz character is shown intelligent and he can understand people well. He knows if a person has potential or not. He knew that his wife did Everything and that parizaad was fooled and he is emotional and thought his wife wants to meet her sick aunt that's why helped her and didn't take money also. And the way than he was ready to die and sacrifice and when Nouman ijaz's character asked him why he took the blame, parizaad 's reply was what to be noted (kay mein nahi chahtha tha kay sab kay samnay ap ki izzat par harf aye, something along the lines). I think maybe you missed it, and this is what made nouman ijaz say that he is precious. Nouman's character knows and can analyze people well due to his years of being betrayed. Even initially he tested parizaad and knew he was a man of loyalty, sacrifice yet emotional and understands feelings. He didn't help Urwa's character out of greed or something or wanted to intentionally betray his malik or will ever harm him.
So I think if you rewatch all the dialogues between the both you will understand.
And also Nouman ijaz always takes care of his servants and remembers their names, he is not bad in that sense. But yeh when he loves someone and they betray them like that than obviously he kills them which is a crime, a sin.
Also looking at how parizaad wasn't scared, maybe he decided to punish him some other way or thought him to be useful due to his fearsome attitude towards death and than the later conversation further convinced him of what kind of person parizaad was. To summarize nouman's character really knows and observes people well.
Overall a great episode intriguing from beginning to end and how the events unfolded and new characters and constantly progressing like you really can't tell what's gonna happen unlike other same old predictable dramas.
Aakhir kab thak, agree with all you points. A realistic, well balanced drama full of morals and real characters. Showing Noor's struggling and fighting nature, being a constant support to her mother, father and sister is amazing. Yet also shows she also needs someone and is human, she also sometimes feel weak but than Nasir supported her.
On the other hand, Nasir just brings humor on the screen while on the same hand gives you lessons, all that scene in the office was just fabulous.

Amanat : 1) Zarar did not tell reality of Mehar to his family because no family will allow a "ghar se bhagi hui ladki" to stay with them.
    2) Mehar might have fainted due to news of Fawad's death bcz he was her last hope.
    3) Regarding his red eyes, Imran Abbas had once told that he had some medical problem in his eyes during the shoot of Thora Sa Haq. But he had to shoot the drama with red and watery eyes due to dates problem and prior commitment. So maybe that condition has not improved.

AKT is an excellent drama with lessons that are rendered without being preachy. We see that Saim's mother has pulled back from her destructive and rather regressive position for fear of losing her son's respect. It was good to see a Nand stand up for her bhabi. The theme of consent is being maintained in the story. The proposal from Nasir is respectful and serious. Nasir is prepared to change for Noor and is demonstrating this. He is willing to help with her family issues and support them after the marriage but he understands that Noor still has the right to say no. Fajar is now consenting to intimacy with Saim in the dulhan mark 2 scene per Saim pir be hesitate ker ta hai and waits for Fajar to speak her consent before moving. I think that soon, Zafar will be back. I heard a theory by a viewer who thinks that Saim's sister might go to a coaching centre and Zafar will try something with her and that's how the Fajar rape incident will become relevant. I think this drama is too well written and directed for the rape to be forgotten. Well done to the cast and crew for AKT, it is fabulous!

Liked your review of Amanat & Parizaad. About the other three serials, sorry i skipped the video after the intro as i dont watch those serials.
During the review of Amanat, i liked the funny banter when you guys said to each other k "tinnoo bada pata hai". Also that was hilarious when Hassan said role-playing (in a naughty context b/w partners) and then he tried to cover it by justifying it with random excuses.
And i agree with Hassan that there is something about Amanat that you like watching it as a guilty pleasure!
Regarding Parizaad, about Behroz sparing him, i think people like Behroz (jo k don hai) know that k badee mushkil se aisay log miltay hain jin ko marnay ka dar nahi hota aur jo itnay courageous hotay hain or maybe because Behroz knew that Parizaad was not aware that Laila was meeting her boyfriend and not her aunt, so comparing to the betrayal of his wife, Parizaad's mistake was not so big or perhaps as Behroz said k maray howay ko kya marna. And if i am wrong in assessing why Behroz spared Parizaad's life then as Hassan said dont look for logic otherwise how will the drama progress ahead.
Waisy can someone tell me what is the meaning of musk kar dena :)

In Parizaad it is shown that since childhood except her mother and sister everyone used to make fun of him because of his complexion due to which he has very low confidence and self esteem. Also to the lady he loved the most ( naheed) made fun and rejected him becoz of his complexion. Bubbly badmash ran away fron her house on their nikkah day so he thought it was again because of his complexion and Mahi never expressed her feeling. so that's why he hate his complexion and thinks that because of his complexion no one loved him his entire life and that's the only thing he craves for therefore he wanted it to be destroyed. And this is the Centre plot of the story
