- Did you know in Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, there’s a secret detail hidden in plain sight. When Snape meets with Voldemort in the boat house, there’s a Gryffindor scarf hanging behind him. As Snape lies directly to Voldemort about how the Elder Wand actually works, the scarf can be seen next to Snape in almost every shot.
This scarf references Snape’s bravery in this situation, directly lying to the Dark Lord. It also ties back to the part in the book where Dumbledore says to Snape “You know, I sometimes think we Sort too soon.” Let us know what you think in the comments down below!
OMG that's so cool! Nice detail. Thanks for mentioning!
Glad you liked it and thanks for the kind words! I’ve gone down a rabbit hole of details and I can’t stop! 😅
@@TheWizardingCo And we enjoy it too! Keep up you work. :)
Thank you so much! You made my Friday! I’ll keep it up for sure 😁
It speaks to Voldy's evil nature by him killing Snape because he thought the wand answered to him. He could have just disarmed Snape, and the allegiance would have, in his mind, changed. That, or he knew he was lying.
Wow u watched the same movie as everyone else did too 💀
@@getspun6961 wow a person who doesn’t understand NOT EVERYONE has seen the movies
Really wish Ravenclaw and Hufflepuff weren’t overshadowed as much as they were I understand why it was about Gryffindor vs Slytherin.
Snape is the true hero
I always thought that was Lillie's maybe because he knew he would've been killed he would want to be right next to it.
Alan you are missed❤💔
Did he die?

That's new insight 👏 😊...some times when u read the book, u just want to see the scene in real with characters playing it and u just couldn't see the background with alot of character to the scene...
I feel so silly of the fact that I never saw that scarf. I've seen the movie over 100 times. This really is a great feature they put in the movie, I love it so much. I really do feel silly for not noticing it a lot sooner.
As it has always been stated the Sorting Hat does take your choice into consideration
It hasn't always said that for certain. Harry is the only one we see talk to the hat.
As a matter of fact, it's the spoiled bad people that anything rising from the cemetery will want to end.
I never noticed him say that o.o
I think it is too goddamn dark in that scene to even tell if that is a scarf, let alone a gryphondor scarf
I can’t see the scarf
Me neither
Their is a Gryffindor in all of us if we’re brave enough
*Gryffindor

Do all green pls
How does lying to Voldemort be considered brave. I mean, In front of death, if he said the truth, that wud be brave, coz he wud be risking death. By lying Snape was buying for more time, in order to inform harry that he needed to die.
Voldemort is the greatest Legilimens the wizarding world has ever seen, yet Snape could risk lying to him as he in my opinion is one of the best Occlumens of all time if not the best. It’s brave because Voldemort was furious in this scene yet Snape still manipulated him and further halt gaining the Elder Wands allegiance.
@@mrmanunited3290 Snape did nothing to prevent Voldemort from getting the Elder wand.
It was Harry's luck that he somehow disarmed Malfoy at the Malfoy manor.
Draco was in presence of Voldemort all the time.
If Voldemort had killed draco for not killing Dumbledore, then Voldemort wud be the true master of Elder wand.
Also Snape never knew that Draco disarmed Dumbledore and Draco was the true master of Elder wand.
Snape did absolutely nothing to prevent Voldemort from getting the Elder wand.
@@yogeshjagdale5969 Snape probably did know Draco disarmed Dumbledore are you forgetting common sense? If Snape walked up and saw Draco with his wand up and Dumbledore without a wand in hand and on the ground still. Snape could put two and two together. Snape was in fact Brave, he was the bravest Death-Eater and Slytherin. You don’t have to be openly honest and stuff to be brave I mean if Snape was like that he’d be Griffyndor. You gotta understand Bravery doesn’t have anything to do with Honor. Also no he couldn’t openly defy Voldemort from getting the wand you’re forgetting that no one could legitimately kill Voldemort he had Horcruxs. Snape had to do things from the shadow which btw is the most effective way to do something.

First of all, I m not saying that Snape is not brave.
I m dissing this video, I mean in this situation, how does lying to Voldemort is considered brave.
Also, if you read the books, Snape does not know that Draco disarmed Dumbledore.
First Draco disarms Dumbledore, then bunch of death eaters arrive excluding snape.
After pleasantries were exchanged, a few moments later Snape arrives.
Using common sense, Snape knew that Dumbledore was not going to fight and might actually given up on the wand by himself.
If Snape had known that Draco was the master of Elder wand, Snape wud have done something to keep Malfoy away from Voldemort.
